I grabbed the phone from its holder on the table in the hallway and ran up the stairs, leaving George in the doorway laughing at me. Quickly dialling mum's number, I put the phone to my ear and waited impatiently for an answer on the other end.

"Hello," a voice answered on the other end of the phone line.

"Mum," I screeched. "Mum!"

"What, honey? Sammy, what?" mum asked, sounding panicked.

"He did it!"

"Did what? Who did what?"

"Don't play dumb, mum," I giggled. "I know you were in on it!"

"Fine," mum laughed. "You said yes then?"

"Why wouldn't I say yes?" I asked.

"Congratulations honey," mum said with a happy tone to her voice.

"I'd better ring everyone else but love you mum."

Debating on who to call first, I laid on the bed, flicking through the contacts on the phone. George jumped onto the bed, flopping beside me and resting his head on my back. "Why did you wait so long?" I asked him, as I scrolled through who to call next.

"Just wanted to wind you up a little so it could be a surprise," he grinned, playing with my hair.

"Well congratulations, you wound me up so much," I giggled. "But the surprise was completely worth it."

"Good," George smiled. "Oh, by the way, JJ, Jaymi, Olly, Josh, Chloe and Elle already know and are coming around tonight for a party thing and your mum has already said she's more than happy to babysit Katy for us all night so.."

"Sounds amazing," I beamed.

*

"Hello future Mrs Shelley," Elle beamed as I opened the front door to her and JJ.

"We haven't even discussed name changes yet," I winked.

"She's gonna be a Shelley," George said as he stood behind me.

"I'm not deciding yet," I grinned.

"Well last time.."

"Last time I was young and didn't have a clue with life," I joked as JJ and Elle walked into the house and I closed the door behind them.

"Already arguing like an old married couple," JJ teased.

"I think it's time for you two to go on karaoke," Chloe grinned, handing George the microphone after she finished her ten song Beyonce set with Jaymi that usually happened when the karaoke machine got brought out.

"No," I pleaded.

"Come on, Sam," George grinned, trying to drag me up as I stayed motionless on the sofa in between Olly and JJ.

"Sammy! Sammy! Sammy!" Jaymi chanted.

"No!"

George fiddled around with the karaoke machine, selecting a song as I adamently stayed on the sofa, refusing to get up.

"Weak, I have been crying and crying for weeks. How'd I survive when I can barely speak, barely eat, on my knees," George began to sing as Jaymi and Josh tried to pull me up off the sofa.

Reluctantly, I grabbed hold of the microphone in time for Keri Hilson's part to appear on the screen. "But that's the moment you came to me, I don't know what your love has done to me. Think I'm invincible I see through the me, I used to be."
