With the sunshine in the sky, it was a beautiful, yet chilly morning so I decided to walk with George to the studio before I was heading off to central London to meet up with my mum and Chloe for a fun day of looking for a wedding dress. Our big day was still a month away but in bridal terms, I was way behind with planning it all. We’d been so wrapped up with other things over the last few weeks that the only thing we had managed to do since Christmas was book the venue.
Our fingers were intertwined as we turned a corner and began getting closer to the studio that George and I had both recorded in over the past few years.
“And if she wants to, we could hold each other’s hands and just dance slow. Or she could hit it to the ground and drop it low. ‘Cos I’ve been waiting all week to get to know, oh, just how to see you move,” George hummed to himself.
“Are they the lyrics?” I asked.
George dropped back to reality and looked at me. “Yeah, why?”
“Nothing,” I smiled. “They’re great, but how about ‘how to make a move’ instead of ‘how to see you move’ as it’s more about touch than anything else.”
George looked at me and paused. “‘Cos I’ve been waiting all week to get to know, oh, just how to make a move,” George sang quietly.
“See,” I grinned.
George wrapped his arm around me and pulled me closer to him, kissing the top of my head as I put my arm around his waist. “That just means I have to credit you for songwriting now,” he groaned.
“You better do or I’ll sue,” I joked.
“So what time is your appointment at the wedding shop place?” George asked.
“It’s called a bridal boutique, George,” i grinned. “And twelve but meeting up with mum and Chloe in an hour for a light breakfast.”
“Light meaning full English fry up?” George joked.
“Do you really think I can afford to have a full English fry up when I only have four weeks to fit into a beautiful wedding dress?” I questioned. “I don’t think so. Anyway, have you sorted out the fitting for yours and the boys’ suits?”
“I have actually,” George replied as we stopped outside the entrance to the studio. “I’ve even arranged with Michael for him to come with us to get his suit sorted at the same time.”
“Well, I am surprised,” I grinned as George wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into him.
“Proud?” George asked, smiling at me.
I nodded. “Very.”
“So I’ll see you at home tonight?” George asked.
“You will,” I grinned. “I’d better get going as you know my mum always says a time but means an hour before it.”
George let go of my waist but as I was about to walk away, he grabbed hold of my hand and pulled me back towards him.
“What?” I asked in confusion.
