Nine

"Oh my god. What did you do!?"Olivia exclaimed as she looked at her husband's hand. His knuckles were bleeding and bruised.

"I punched the bastard," Elliot mumbled, and Olivia frowned.

"Why would you do that, Elliot? All he did was give Cassidy a gift!" Olivia exclaimed, as she stood and walked towards the bathroom. She grabbed the first aid kit and walked back out. She slammed on the table in front of him.

"Because he has no rights to our son. He can't just show up and expect that everything will be okay. He can't try and be our kid's father, just because he knocked you up 6 years ago."

"We wouldn't have Cassidy without him." Olivia sighed, before opening the box and getting the peroxide out to clean the wounds.

"Just shut up."

"Excuse me? Do not tell me to shut up. I swear to god Elliot, if you dare hurt Brian again I will make you sleep on the couch for not just till I cool down but forever. Do you hear me?"

'"Yeah, okay."

Brian laid in his bed with a makeshift ice pack placed to his jaw. He was pretty sure that the bone was bruised and it hurt a lot. He wanted to punch Elliot back, but the coward just walked away and didn't even give him a chance.

If Brian had any say in the raising of his son, he would've first made Olivia break up with Elliot because he is such a dick and probably is putting bad thoughts into Cassidy's head. He didn't want his son to think that he is just some user. He wants him to know that he got clean for him. That he got a job and moved to Manhattan to be close to him. But Olivia and Elliot weren't going to let that happen so he was going to figure out a way to make sure he gets time with his son.

Even if it meant he hurt Olivia in the process.

3 Months Later

Elliot eventually got Olivia to forgive him, so they were on the same page in regards to their son. Both knew they had to spare him the drama that brought him into the world.

"Momma, can we go to the beach this weekend?" Cassidy asked as Olivia stood in the kitchen and cleaned up Joey's face while Danny and Hunter both finished drinking their milk.

"Of course, Cass. It's supposed to be really warm." Olivia smiled as she looked over at her son.

"I love swimming!" He laughed, as he ran over and hugged his mother's legs.

"I know you do baby." Olivia grinned. She reached down and ruffled his hair before picking the baby up and settling him onto her hip. She helped Danny and Hunter down from their seats and told them to go play before she took their cups over to the sink. As she was rinsing them out so they could drink from them later, there was a knock on the front door. Olivia sighed as she quickly walked to answer it.

"Yes?" She questioned, as she stared at a man.

"Olivia Benson-Stabler?" The man questioned.

"Yes, may I help you?"

"You've been served." He spoke, before shoving a thick orange envelope into her hand. She stared at him as he walked back to his car, her eyes wide and her mouth hanging wide open.

"Momma?" Cassidy questioned sweetly.

"Take Joey and help him play with his blocks, okay? I gotta look at this."

Olivia stormed into Brian's office, tears streaming down her cheeks. She had dropped the boys off at her baby sitter's house because she didn't want them to wonder why Momma was yelling at the strange man.

"You fucking bastard!" Olivia yelled as she slammed open Brian's office door, before slamming it shut again.

"Liv? What are doing here?"

"Don't act stupid, you fucking jackass. How dare you sue me for custody of Cassidy! You know that my lawyer is going to have a field day with this because you have always been into drugs and drinking. Do you think they'll let you have partial custody of a little boy? And Elliot adopted him, so just leave us alone!"

"I didn't mean to hurt you Liv, it's just that I need my son in my life. And you would-"

"You showed up on his birthday!"

"You wouldn't let me meet him. You are hiding him from me, just so you can 'protect' him. But I want you to understand that I won't hurt him. And if you would've married me, we could've had the four amazing boys you have now. But you choose an asshole who doesn't deserve you." Brian spoke as he stood and walked towards his ex.

"You don't deserve me. You don't deserve our son. You are a user. You just take and take until there is nothing but a shell left. You hurt me so badly Bri. You asked me to abort our child. Our beautiful little Cassidy. So, if you think I'll give in easily, then you don't know me anymore. I am a mother now, I'm stronger than before. I'm going to raise him with his father. While you can rot in fucking hell."

When Elliot arrived home, his house was quiet. Olivia's car wasn't in the driveway, and his kids' toys were just sitting where they had left them. Olivia always made them put their toys away when they were done, but it didn't look like she did this time. Elliot was about to pull his phone out to call his wife, but instead, his wife called him.

"Liv? Where are you and the boys?"

"We are about an hour outside of Boston. Pack some stuff and meet us here, okay? Please?" Olivia begged as tears streamed down her cheeks.

"Boston? What? What happened?" Elliot exclaimed.

"Brian is suing us for full custody of Cassidy. I can't have him take my baby." Olivia whimpered.

"He won't, okay? Turn around now and come home. Baby, we will deal with this. I need you to come home."

"But what if he gets him?" Olivia whispered.

"He won't because he is my son too. Come home. Now."

"Okay. I'm sorry, Elliot. I'm so sorry."

"You have nothing to apologize for, Liv. Nothing at all."
