"I thought we agreed we weren't going to talk about her." Her eyes flash and she stomps a high heel on the tile floor. Normally I'd find that cute, but right now it was anything but.

"And I thought we'd agreed you'd stop being a bitch." I bite back. The look on her face was so worth it.

"Excuse me?" She scoffs as if she hadn't just heard what I said.

"You heard me." I stare back at her, silently challenging her. When she doesn't say anything I take that as my cue to continue speaking. "I really don't know what the big head is. You're the one who invited her."

"I didn't invite her." She snaps. "It's an open office party and she works at the office."

"So you knew there was a chance she could be here." I knew I had her there, but she couldn't give up a fight that easily.

"I told you I don't want to talk about her!"

"You don't want to talk about how I fucked Holly Parks during that six month gap when we had broken up?" I demand.

What she does next surprises both of us. My hand flies up to hold my now stinging cheek. Her eyes look as wide at the mood.

"Did you just slap me?" I asks once the shock had passed.

She quickly regains her composure, clamping her mouth shut. "You're drunk. You need to go walk it off."

Seriously? I was too posses to argue. "Gladly." I snap before turning and grabbing my coat from the hook. She says something but I ignore it as I would out the front door, making sure it slams shut behind me.
