Chapter 2: The Voices In My Head Give Me Wise Words Of Wisdom, How Wise.
So, here I was, about to be killed by an empousai, scared, and with two gods fighting about fish in my head. As you can tell, I was in complete control. The donkey lady in front of me finally caught up to speed with everything and went back to circling me. "So," I began, "When are you planning to kill me?" I tried to pass the time. Hopefully classes would end soon and all the students would file out and rescue me from this horrible, yet strange fate.
"You're not going to fight back?" She asked and tilted her head.
I held out my empty hands, "Uh, you don't happen to have a weapon or sword on you, right?" I asked skeptically. She gave me a demonic glare, and then pounced at me.
"Dodge right!" I did as told. "You must have quick reflexes!" Poseidon scolded me.
"Shut up and let her do her thing!" Aphrodite said exactly what I was thinking.
"OK! Bye" He left me to myself with the empousai.
Great.
"You can't hide from a demon!" She snarled as I ran down the corridor towards the door. "Not good, not good. Not good." I mumbled as I ran to the exit, why was it so far away? There was a burning sensation in my right leg. No! I can't have a stretched hammy now! But when I looked down at my leg, I saw it wasn't a stretched muscle. I had a big gash and it was bleeding badly. It bled and dripped a trail of fresh blood as I ran.
I was shocked, it didn't make sense. It hurt so badly I was forced to a stop. "I have you now, precious one." The empousai caught up to me and smiled like she had won. "Don't worry, the venom won't feel so bad in a few minutes. Once you're dead." She smiled at the sight of me in pain. I clenched my teeth, but the pain was there to stay. "Maybe I should just kill you now." She thought this over for a second. I was outwitted, I was outmatched, and I would die.
When she lunged towards me, I closed my eyes and waited for my death. It couldn't be that bad. But the strike never came. Just a painful screech. And it belonged to the monster, not me. I opened my eyes and saw that she was fighting someone, with a...dagger? I could feel the venom was slowly moving throughout my bloodstream. Images became blurry, and I screamed. But before I passed out, I could see the donkey lady turn to dust. Then either a tall boy or girl came over and picked me up. My world went into darkness.

"Whoa, I think she's awake now." I woke up to muffled voices.
I rubbed my head, and for some reason my leg burned quite a bit. "Ugh, mom, that was a horrible dream. I would hate to be a demigod." I mumbled, waking up for school every morning was tiring. "I don't want to go to school." I flopped back into my pillow.
"Sorry sunshine, but you are a demigod, and I don't think you have to worry about school anymore." A guy's voice laughed. I bolted upright and snapped my eyes open to see where the noise came from. I saw a boy that was clearly taller than me, and a girl with intense grey eyes. I remembered them being the ones who saved me.
"You're the girl that fought off the donkey lady." I knew it had to be, "May I just say, that dang, you are good." I cocked my head to the side, amazed. She wore an emotionless face. My guess was that she'd be good at poker. "You're welcome for the complement by the way." I gave her a weird look, usually someone takes a complement. But apparently this girl doesn't. The boy was looking between us but backed up a few feet. I took the time of silence to realize that I was in and infirmary.
