Chapter 6: I End Up With A Broken Nose

"Shut up Percy. I'm trying to sleep." I rolled over and threw my pillow over my head to block noise out. "Sorry, Princess of the Sea." His voice sounded like he was about to flick me off. I tried to sleep, but it just wouldn't come. Plus it didn't help that Percy was trying to practice Kung-Fu or sword training a bunk away. But eventually I guess I did fall asleep, because yet another weird dream came. Gosh, I love being a demigod.

It was the same place erupted in chaos. Only now, the waves were higher and this time I noticed that a wave of sweet perfume was in the air. Aphrodite. I could just tell. They were fighting over me, again, Poseidon and Aphrodite. But I never assumed it would end up with this big of a disaster. "Stop!" I yelled at them. But of course they didn't.

"Sorry sweetie, but this isn't going to end up with you dying a heroic death." A new gruff voice said behind me. I turned and saw a man dressed in all black, holding a sword that looked sharper than any one I'd ever seen.

"Who sent you?" I asked him, watching every move he made carefully.

"Your best friend of course. Who else would send me to take care of you?" He said smugly. I shook my head, puzzled.

"No, I'm not going to go like this." He stepped closer and readied his sword.

"Sorry." He swung his sword at me. I closed my eyes and waited for the strike to come.

"Wake up! Tara, wake up!" Percy was shaking me violently. I sat upright, my cheeks feeling stained with newly shed tears.

"You were talking in your sleep. It sounded like somebody was about to kill you." He gave me a worried look. "I'm fine. What time is it?" I tried getting off the subject.

"You're not fine. Please Tara, tell me what happened." Percy pleaded.

"Fine. Yes, in my dreams, someone was about to kill me. Happy?" I looked at the sea, trying to calm myself. The moon was still out, so I guessed it was either really late at night, or super early in the morning.

"No, I'm not happy, demigod dreams are usually visions. If someone is trying to kill you, we need to train you. Fast."

He held out a hand for me to take. "Let's go for a little swim." Was all he said and rushed out, dragging me with him, to the sea behind our cabin.

"Won't we get wet? I'm still in my pj's." I said, clearly confused.

"That's the thing about children of Poseidon, we can swim without getting wet. Just think; dry." Percy smiled. I stared wide-eyed at him." We can also breathe underwater." He added, to make me even more amazed. "Just focus on not letting the water touch you. Bend it to your will." He suggested and cannon-balled into the water.

"Wait for me!" I called and jumped in after him.

Under the waves, it was peaceful and clear. Percy waved at me a few feet away. I waved back to him and swam deeper. My hair circled around me like a halo. The little fish seemed to inspect me, then swim off. This felt extremely regenerating. I wasn't even tired anymore. Eventually I swam back up to the surface and Percy followed. When I finally reached my bunk again, I wasn't even the slightest bit damp.

"Pretty cool, right?" Percy's smile was as bright as a pearl. "Yea, thanks, I'm totally using that to freak someone out one day." I yawned and collapsed on my bunk. "So, guess what?" He asked and laid down on his bunk. "What?" I said, acting excited. "Better get some sleep, training starts tomorrow. You're going to be training hard. It's not going to be easy." He said as I drifted into a deep sleep. This time, it was a peaceful one with no strange dreams about me dying.
