*JAIME*
"so... hows life?" she asked softly, walking a step in front of me as we walked to the little place in the middle of town she suggested.
How can I possibly answer that question?
Horrible
lonely
dismal.
Thunderstorms, clouds, snow.... and a slight drizzle..
"its life." was all I said with little to no-emotion, she nodded and turned her focus to the buildings around us. She was looking at the sky, but I couldn't take my eyes off of her. The starlight caught her eyes just right, making them seem brighter than they were, the passing rays from the lampposts clouding her face with shadows, making her look magical to say the least. She turned her face towards me, but I looked up, not wanting her to notice me staring at her like I had been for I don't know how long.
I studied the stars mentally stating how beautiful they looked tonight. Though the corner of my eye I saw her turn and look at me again, I smiled softly and looked down at her but she turned her head away,
"What about you?" I asked holding open the door to the pub for her, she shrugged, telling the waiter something in german, I smiled, already knowing of her many other languages she speaks.
"Living in London, off of Piccadilly Square, working for Epitaph, basically what had consumed me the past year." she smiled as she slid up on the barstool, sipping the waters that were set in front of us by the waiter.
I nodded, watching the other people in the pub around us, "so what made you want to move to London? I mean, there is an Epitaph in New York and Los Angeles."
she shrugged sighing, "i moved with Oli actually... I felt like I needed to get away from everything when we first.. you know." I pang in my heart went off, but I nodded understandingly. " so I picked up and went to England with Oli... and then I got the job with Epitaph, with help from Oli and Vegan since they pulled me onto their tour so I wouldn't be alone. And that's basically when I started my professional Tour Managerial skillage, you know.. besides WalkersTown." she smiled and took a potato chip from the basket.
"so who have you toured with over here?" I asked curiously not wanting the conversation to die.. "New found Glory for 4 days, Architects, and I Killed The Prom Queen, and with Oli and the boys twice." she smiled softly.
So that is probably where her and Jordan met, they seemed pretty close.
She started choking on her drink, "Damn ice cubes!" she coughed laughing to herself. "i see you two are still mortal enemies." I laughed, seeing a spark in her eyes, "well you have seen correctly Preciado." she laughed causing her to have a cough attack once more, oh that laugh, piercing right though my heart. i looked down and shook my head hiding the red that was most likely taking over my face, grabbing my 7&7.
"so Solo Album eh?" she asked. I just smiled and nodded.
I nodded and smiled "just an EP, not going though any label though. Too much of a hassle.. but the fans want it, so said Why Not." I smiled and sighed, most of the songs I had written were about her. But I don't think anyone would get it aside from my own band and a few others. "i just have one song left, but it never comes out as i'd like it to." I shrugged and finished of my 3rd 7&7, setting it on the edge of the table and taking a fry off my plate.
Laney just smiled at me and shrugged "you'll get it. You always were an amazing song writer, Hime." she nodded, propping her chin on her hand, and stole a fry off my plate. I laughed and pushed the plate towards her, "thanks Laney." I smiled, watching her eyes. She blushed softly and looked at her lap, thinking I couldn't see it.. oh but I did. I couldn't help but feel my cheeks get hot as well.
