*After one year later*

'Mummy! Mummy!' I received a big hug from Kate. 'Honey!' I smiled kissing her on the forehead, 'I've missed you so much. How was your stay with your Daddy?' 'It was great. I have a lot to tell you!' She grinned. 'Okay, honey. Go put your bag in your room and we'll have a long chat about it, okay?' She quickly nodded her head and ran off, dragging her bag on the floor. Luke walked in to the room, 'Luke!' I smiled, 'How are you?' I gave him a quick hug and he kissed me on the cheek, 'Great thanks, how about you? I haven't seen you in months!' 'I'm good.' We both walked in to the kitchen and I prepared him a nice, hot coffee. Sitting down on the tables we both took a quick sip. 'So how's the year been for you?' Luke asked before placing his mug back down on the table. 'Ermm..' I gulped, 'Yeah.. It's official. Reece and I are no longer married. I'm a single, pringle and I'm ready to mingle.' I laughed, 'So how about you? What's happened to you?' 'Well, I'm single too and I'm over Carol but we do still keep in touch. We're still friends.' I nodded my head and smiled. He said, 'Actually, I think this is the last time I will see you and Kate for a while. I got a new job in Australia. I'm leaving tomorrow at 5pm.' 'What?!' I exclaimed. 'Yeah, I know. But don't worry, I'll come back sometime and pick up Kate for a few holidays, you know?' He took another sip of his coffee then placed it back down on the table. I'm not going to lie, I still love him but now that he's moving to Australia how will I ever see him? 'Unless you have a good reason why I should stay here in England. Do you?' He raised an eyebrow at me. I stared at the steam from my coffee, I shook my head, 'If that's what you really want then I'm happy for you.' 'Thanks, Alice.' He smiled touching my hands on the table. 'So how about your parents? Are you guys okay now?' He asked. I shook my head, 'No. I haven't seen them for a year now but I've kind of got over it.' 'Well maybe you should pay them a visit?' 'Hmm.. maybe.'
