It was around ten in the morning when Luke and I went to a few houses and an appartment that I could rent or buy until Kate comes and lives with me. Luke and I have agreed that Kate can live with me every weekdays but she can stay with Luke and Carol at weekends. I know its a bit unfair that I get her mostly but I don't have anyone whilst Luke has Carol. He actually insisted and I couldn't reject to that amazing offer. As we walked to our first house, Kaela my estate agent slowly opened the door. It was an okay house with two bedrooms, a big living room with a small kitchen and a dining room. I didn't really like it very much because it was old-fashioned and stuff but it was quite cheap so it kind of balances, I guess. When we got to our second house- it was pretty big! It had three bedrooms with a big living room, massive kitchen and a dining room. It also had two bathrooms but it was freaking expensive! As much as I loved the house, I just had to get away as quickly as possible. The third place we visited was our last one. It is an apartment. As we walked up the third floor, Kaela opened the door. The apartment was newly built meaning that everything was modern. It had two small bedrooms but the living room was massive with a kitchen in the corner and the dining area nearby. I fell in love with the apartment as soon as I walked in. It could actually still be ok when Kate moves in with me. After that, I had to sign a few papers before going back to Luke and Carol's house. I have to wait another three weeks before I could move in to the apartment because apparently the toilets were still being fixed. It was probably around 3:00pm when we got back but Luke quickly had to leave for work. So Carol and I was left behind. I don't know why but for some reason I felt like she still didn't like me. Earlier when she took the bins out I saw her talking to their neighbour, Jacob. I don't want to be mean but I think she likes him. I could tell just by the way she looks at him and giving him that smirk on her face. I don't really want to be a person who ruins people's relationships or get into people's lives but if she really does like Jacob, I don't think it's very fair to Luke. 'Carol, do you know what Luke's favourite food is?' I asked, but Carol was still looking out the window admiring someone. It was probably Jacob again. 'Carol!' I repeated myself. 'Oh, uhm.. Shepherds pie.' She hesitated. 'Oh.. I thought it was Roast Lamb but ok. I guess he's changed.' 'Why?! What are you going to do?' She cocked an eyebrow at me before rolling her eyes and looking out the window again. 'Well as a thank you for coming with me earlier, I was hoping to cook him Roast Lamb.' I mumbled. 'Believe me, Alice, he loves Shepherd's pie.' 'Well how about you cook him Shepherd's pie and I'll cook him Roast Lamb.' I smiled. 'Are you challenging the best chef?!' She pointed at herself. I quickly nodded my head. 'Well let the games begin.' She smirked...
