I woke up to a smell of bacon and eggs downstairs. In confusion, I slowly opened the windows. The sun streaked into the room and a sweet smell of grass flew into my nose. One of the neighbours was cutting the grass. I quickly tidied my room before walking down the stairs. I walked over to the kitchen and saw Luke cooking some eggs on a frying pan. 'Good morning!' He smiled. I smiled back and slowly sat down on one of the chairs. I glanced at the bacon and eggs on the table before looking back at Luke. He was singing and he was cheerful. I really liked seeing him like that but why do I feel like when I look at his eyes, I can still sense a bit of pain and jelousy in his eyes. He placed the last cooked egg onto the plate before grabbing a knife and fork. He sat on a chair in front of me and grinned. He started eating the bacon until he looked up at me. I wasn't eating but I was staring right at him. 'What's wrong? Do you not like bacon and eggs?' He raised an eyebrow. I shrugged, 'No..' I laughed, 'I love bacon and eggs... I was just..' I grabbed my fork, 'Nevermind.' 'No! Please tell me.' He begged before taking a sip of apple juice. 'Well...' I paused, 'Are you sure you're okay?!' He faked a smile and looked at his food. He touched my hand and smiled directly at me, 'I'm not going to lie. It still hurts but I'm doing my best to move on. I'm not letting her ruin my life just like that.' He smiled, 'Thanks for helping me last night. You really helped me feel better.' I nodded my head and grinned back, 'Anytime.'
