I slowly walked over to my office, placing my bag beneath my desk and turning my computer on. I typed in my username and password and waited for my account to log on. I checked my email and noted down all the meetings for Luke on my diary. I also noticed an email from an unknown email address. In confusion, I double clicked on it and read the message. It said, 'Dear Alice, I hope you still remember me. It's Hannah Taylor.' Oh my gosh! It's from my best friend! I haven't spoken to her in ages eversince she moved to California and left me. I haven't seen her in ages, I bet she's changed loads. I carried on reading, 'I know we don't know each other anymore and we're not as close as we used to be but I'm back from California for a two week holiday in England. I'm hoping to meet up with you, if thats ok? We need to catch up with each other! Here's my number.' I copied the number onto my phone and texted her, 'Hey, I just read your message. Sounds great!' I chucked my phone in my bag and closed my email. I looked at Luke's meetings today and sighed as the phone by my computer started ringing. I quickly picked up the line and said, 'Hello, Alice David speaking. How may I help you?' 'Hi.' The voice coldly replied. It sounded like Luke. 'Luke?' I asked to make sure. 'Yeah. Erm..' He hesitated, 'You look... You look great today.' My stomach started filling up with butterflies flying endlessly. I felt sick. My mouth started going dry, I wasn't really sure what to reply. 'Erm.. T..Tha..Thank you. But it's not.. not true.' I stuttered. Oh my gosh! Why am I stuttering?! He's going to know that something is up. He's going to suspect something, that whenever I hear his voice, I get chills running down my back. Gosh! His voice makes my heart skip a beat. 'You're welcome... It's true. You're so pretty.' He mumbled. The butterflies in my stomach has now changed into cars driving radomnly in my stomach. 'Tha..Thanks..' I laughed. My face started going red, I blushed and I'm pretty damn sure I look like a tomato right now. I'm so glad he can't see me, otherwise he'll know that I still kind of like him. 'Stop blushing!' He laughed. He's probably smirking right now, I know I can't see him but I can imagine him doing that. 'WHAT?!' I snapped. I looked around in all directions in the room for him but he was no where to be seen. I just got strange looks from my colleagues. 'Are you ok?' Steph mouthed. She probably saw me as red as a tomato and can't help but laugh at my face. I nodded my head and faced the computer again. 'Stop looking for me. You won't find me.' He chuckled. 'Are you stalking me?!' I narrowed my eyes at the computer screen. 'No! I'm not a freak.' He coldly replied. I probably offended him but he was! He was stalking me! 'Look, I got to go. Carol's here.' He said. 'Carol? Who's Ca-' But I was too late, he had already put the phone down.Who the hell is Carol? I don't know anyone who works here called Carol. It stung a bit, It really did hurt me. So he's seeing a girl? Why do I feel like my heart's just been jabbed by sword. I shouldn't even be affected! I'm so confused! One minute I hate him then the next I kind of like him.. Huhu... :(
