She grinned at me then passed the tissue paper. I smiled back and grabbed it, wiping the tears on my face. 'Thank you, Katelynn.' She sat down on the bench next to me. 'Hey, what are you doing out here at this time? Are your parents not going to be worried?' She just stared at me and didn't answer. 'I'll take you home if you want.' I smiled. 'I don't have any parents.' She mumbled, looking down on the ground in shame. 'So where do you live?' 'I live in a foster home with my best friend, Masie. I'm looking for my mummy and daddy.' She slowly placed her hand on top of mine and smiled, 'Why were you crying? Sandra told me that mummys never cry.' I smiled at her. She reminded me so much of my daughter, Kate. I know I only held her for a few seconds but there's something about Katelynn that makes me feel like she's mine. 'Just a problem with my husband and I'm not a mummy, sweetheart.' 'Why not? Do you not want to have a child?' She raised her eyebrow at me. 'I do. Well, I did have a daughter but she sadly moved away somewhere a lot better.' 'Where?' 'Somewhere up there. In heaven.' I pointed up at the sky, 'You remind me so much of my daughter. If she was still here with me, she'll be just like you.' She smiled at me, 'I wish I could see her. I bet we'll get on very well.' 'Hmm..' I nodded my head, 'Maybe you should get home now.' She slowly got up from the bench and ran as fast as she could. Just before disappearing from the distance, she shouted, 'I think you should leave your husband. Daddys should never make mummys cry.' I smiled back at her knowing that I can never go back to our house ever again and maybe Katelynn is right...
