The Oracle's Message

I waved good bye to Percy as I made my way out of the infirmary. As I walked out, I decided that I should talk to Rachel, the oracle. Maybe she would like to know about this whole scene in my life. Maybe. Probably not.

Still, I hurried over to Rachel, who was talking to Piper. They surprisingly got along very well. Well, after all, Rachel did hit Kronos, the Titan of time, in the eye with a blue plastic hairbrush. Either way, I was shocked that they would be such great friends.

Suddenly, Rachel was developed in green smoke, like she normally did when she was about to give us a prophecy. I stared at her in disbelief. A quest! At a time like this! Wow. Just-wow.

"The seven shall go to the jewel's most dreaded place. Son of water shall find a familiar face. The seven will feel Magic's daughter's spell. But after this, will the seven get well?"

This quest made no sense at all. Even I was having trouble solving it. And that never happened. Why couldn't I figure this out?!

Anyway, I saw Percy right outside of the infirmary, trying to figure out what just happened. Oh, gods! Percy can't get out of bed! He's injured!

I dashed over to him. "Percy!" I scolded. "You can't be out here! You need to rest!" I stopped him before he could go any further. "Lets get you back in bed."

"But, Annabeth." Percy only called me "Annabeth" when he was serious. This couldn't be good. "I need to know what just happened. I heard mumbling, and then Will bolted out of the infirmary. I want to know what's going on. I need to know." He's right. He did need to know. He is apart of the seven. Apart of us.

"Fine." I grumbled through clenched teeth. "Percy, Rachel gave us a prophecy. We need to go to Hazel's most dreaded place, and then you'll find a familiar face, and then the rest of it, well, we'll figure it out. I haven't, yet."

Percy looked at me like, why is this happening so fast? "Why is this happening to me?" So I raised my shoulders, indicating, "I don't know."

I took Percy's hand as we headed toward the infirmary together. "We are starting this when you're all better, okay?" I instructed.

"Okay." Percy goofily grinned.

I laid Percy down in his bed and made my way to the infirmary's doors. As soon as I placed my hands on the doors' handles, Piper came through the door, which startled me.

"Ah!" I shrieked. As I already told you, she scared me!

"Annabeth! Hey! I need to talk to you about everything. First, Chiron said that there is going to be a meeting with the seven, Iris Messaging Frank and Hazel, of course. It will be held at the big house in an hour. Second, I need you to help me. What does the prophecy mean? What does-"

"Piper, relax." I cut her off. "I'm sure that we'll discuss everything that you're thinking at the meeting. I'll answer a few questions, but then I need to go. I was leaving for a reason, you know." By the way, Frank and Hazel went back yesterday, in case you didn't know.

"Okay. Annabeth, what does the prophecy mean?"

"I don't know yet, really." I answered truthfully. "I only figured out half of it, to tell you the truth."

"Okay. Lets hear it." she replied.

"We have to go to Hazel's most dreaded place. I think that Percy will run into a familiar face, but wouldn't that mean that's it's a familiar face to all of us? We've really met almost everyone that Percy knows from his demigod life! Right?!"

"Yeah, pretty much. Than why was the prophecy worded like that?"

"Isn't that how all prophecies are? Confusing?" I replied. It really was, to be honest. All quests and prophecies were confusing, but, normally, I already knew the answer to them. Why don't I know, this time? Why?!
