"Why are you laughing? Shall I kill you within five seconds or days? Percy, please make the decision," Ares retorted.

"Why you little-" Piper furiously said while gems were appearing by her feet. Leo had to hold her back so that there wouldn't be anymore gruesome bloodbaths.

"Pipes, calm down," Jason soothed. He used a bit of charm speak without noticing.

"Oh, gods," Piper greeted her teeth. "I really hate this feeling. Now I know how you guys feel."

"What do you mean, Beauty Queen?" Leo questioned.

"Jason used my charm speaking ability on me!" Piper yelled. I could tell that she really hated this power switching thing.

"What?! I did not!" Jason argued.

"Yeah! He didn't! Frank agreed.

"He is using charm speak! Just be quiet!" Piper exclaimed.

"Fine!" Jason shrugged.

"Everyone, we have other things to worry about here!" I complained.

"I chose neither," Percy explained. "I have beaten you once, and I can beat you again."

"Please," Ares snorted. "That was with you being normal. How could you possibly defeat me as 'The Son of Athena' without your water powers?"

"I will help him," I challenged.

"But you are to be killed in the matter of five seconds. I am doing you a favor of killing you instantly," Ares replied, his arms crossed.

"What about the rest of us?" Frank denied as he spread out his arms toward the rest of the seven. "We could definitely be of some use!"

"You puny demigods are no match for me," Ares stated, very pleased with himself.

"Are you sure, because we are going to beat you senseless. Almost as if you are going to die today, huh?" Piper teased.

I gave Percy my look. We have a special connection. We can read each other's thoughts with facial expressions. We're just that cool.

Percy passed the look to everyone else besides Ares. He seemed confused. He looked like a child holding a pencil for the first time-learning what, exactly? I can't remember the rest. I really hate this stupid war god of a father. He doesn't even act like one, anyway. What in the world is wrong with him?

Hazel held up her fingers, the power of Poseidon running through her veins. She was indicating a count-a count that said when we were supposed to attach the war god.

Her hand showed a three. Three seconds until the battle. Three seconds until blood. Three seconds until chaos. Her ring finger went down, into the grasp of her thumb. Two seconds until we stupidly go against one if the only people who could help us. Two seconds for me to change my mind. Why did I feel the need to do this? Hazel's hand had one finer stinking up. One tiny second until things would be messy. One more second until my life might end. Of course, I shouldn't think like that.

Hazel put her pointer down, and we all attached.
