"Hi!" Hazel warmly greeted us. They already had the place set up and ready to stay overnight in, which was coming soon.

"It's so good to see you! How long have you been here?" I asked.

"We got here around lunch." Frank replied.

"Well that's good!" Jason beamed.

"I'll guard." Percy volunteered.

"Great!" Hazel stated.

"Lets get this fireplace lit up." Leo set fire to his hands.

"I'm so glad to see you!" Piper chimed.

We caught up and before we knew it, it was night. We all went to sleep sooner or later. I didn't sleep very well that night. Horrible nightmares, as always.

When I awoke, everyone else was still sleeping. Percy Jason was guarding for the rest of the "night" while Percy laid down in his spot.

"Should we wake them?" I startled Jason. He jumped and turned toward me with his weapon in hand.

"Oh, it's you."

"You say that like its a bad thing!"

"I thought you were an intruder!" Well, you get the idea on the rest of the conversation.

Once everyone was awake and fed, we started our adventure to Hazel's most dreaded place. Hazel led us there in basically no time. After all, it was close and she remembered that day clearly. How could she not?

Once we reached the cavern, we decided that we should camp here for the night. We were tired from the last few days and we couldn't just do anywhere. We had to do the "Son of water shall find a familiar face." part of the prophecy. Maybe it would happen here.

We set everything up and had some dinner-ish type meal. It was less than it should have been, but it was still something around 8 o'clock. You know?

Anyway, dinner was normal. A few hellhounds came around but otherwise, nothing really happened. I assumed that overnight there would be a monster attack since we were in Alaska, so I didn't know who would guard.

After dinner, we talked for a little while. It was peaceful and I honestly enjoyed it. I could kind of be a regular human being and not live the life of a demigod, despite being in Alaska and on a quest at that moment.

Suddenly, we heard the bush next to us ruffle. We took out our weapons and glared at the bush. It ruffled again.

"A-choo!" the bush sneezed. A girl jumped out from behind the push and rubbed her nose. "Sorry! I'm allergic."

The firsts thing that popped into my head were: Is she okay? and Why is she here? Was she spying? I know, it's weird. She couldn't be spying on us, could she?

"Hey, Annabeth!" Percy poked my shoulder. "This girl looks familiar. I just don't remember where..." How come I didn't know her? Did he like her? No, it couldn't be.

As if to answer my questions from earlier, she said, "I heard you guys talking and I hid behind the bush. I'm lost and I have no family. But all of you seem nice."

Suddenly, Percy's eyes flashed a sparking shade of gold. Although I didn't notice at that time, I really regretted not seeing that change. That's part of the prophecy. That one little mistake!

"Can I stay with you?" the girl asked. "I might die out here, all alone with no food or water."

"No! Why would we allow such puny mortal scum in here?! You are a worthless person that should mind their own business." Percy stated.

"Percy!" I scolded. It was only then that I realized that he was possessed by an eidolon.

"He's possessed!" I gasped.

"What?!" Jason jumped.

"That can't be!" Piper exclaimed.

"Seriously?!" Frank looked shocked.

"Wait-what just happened?" a typical Leo asked. Wow-at a time like this. Really?!

"Percy!" Hazel sympathized.

"You will regret that decision, son of Poseidon. Possessed or not. You should be nicer to your fellow demigods." And with that, the girl reached out her hand and colors came out of it.

Magic.

This was the daughter of Hecate.

She was casting a spell on us.

The spell.

When the colors made contact with us, we fell to the ground. My stomach ached with pain. She looked up at us and smiled satisfyingly. With that, she disappeared.

The spell was cast on us.

What were we supposed to do now?
