So, after I finished the statues, which wasn't too long ago, I went to my cabin and feel asleep instantly. I guess I was tired from all of the hard work that I accomplished, not that it was all hard. I remember having my head on my pillow, and bam! I'm out like a light.
Anyway, when I woke up from my slumber, I found it to be seven in the morning. The meeting with the gods was at 8. Oh my gods... Why am I so sweaty? Why do I have butterflies in my stomach? Am I really nervous to speak to the gods? No, that cannot be what's really happening. Not in the real world, at least.
Either way, I got up and had breakfast. I guess that nothing could be better than a hard-earned bowl of cereal in the morning. Well, that's what Demeter would say.
After breakfast, I got dressed and did everything else that I had to do, bathroom wise. You know, all the usual stuff. Sooner or later, I brushed my teeth and exited the restroom.
I slipped on my socks and shoes, grabbed hold of my knife, and exited my cabin. I stole Piper from her cabin as I walked by her talking to her friends - or should I say, siblings. Then I saw Jason walk out of his cabin, and took him, too. Frank and Hazel were together here for this big event, and I also stole those two love birds. I grabbed Leo by the wrist as he was about to walk into Bunker 9. We had everybody and I was ready to go.
"Lets go, everyone!" I announced. Of course, we couldn't take the statues with us, silly! We will kindly ask if the gods could take a look at them and accept our offering to agree to helping us find Percy. Boy, I missed him so much.
I hopped on Blackjack while Piper, Jason, and Leo all climbed on to their bronze dragon, Festus. Oh! By the way, Leo patched him up! Hazel and Frank were shadow traveling, I believe. I wasn't exactly paying attention. I was thinking about how the meeting could go. Maybe, just maybe, I could get my Percy back. For good.
Either way, we quickly arrived at Olympus. As we walked through the door, something caught my eye, but I couldn't tell what it was. Oh well.
"We're here to see the gods, on the 600th floor." Jason said.
"Sorry, but I don't know what you're talking about." the doorman replied.
"Please, let us in." Piper used her charm speak. The man hurried over to the elevator and pushed the button. We stepped inside.
"Thank you!" I exclaimed before the elevator door would close in his face.
The elevator started rising to the 600th floor of the building. The elevator music started playing. I've always thought that elevator music was okay, but today it seemed different. What kind of music is this?! Certainly not for an elevator!
At one point or another, they finally reached the top level when the elevator door opened slowly, just like it always did. We walked into Olympus and Zeus greeted us "warmly."
"Ah! Young, ah, what's the word, puny, demigods. Welcome to Olympus."
"Thank you, Lord Zeus," I greeted.
"What do you want from us?" Zeus questioned.
"We kindly ask for you to look at your gift on Camp Half-Blood premises." Jason replied.
"Fine." Zeus mumbled coldly to us. Sometimes he can be so stubborn, especially when it comes to us "puny" demigods, as I've mentioned before.
They quickly looked at their statues that Malcolm and I made for them, and everyone except Zeus was happy with joy.
"Oh! How thoughtful!" Aphrodite seemed touched.
"Thanks, Annabeth." Poseidon exclaimed.
"You have done well." Athena commented. Hera didn't say anything. Nor did Mr. D. And not to my surprise, Ares didn't, either.
"Wonderful!" Hephaestus was the last one to comment on how well we did on our massive project.
"What is this-this-this ridiculous thing of me?" Zeus tried to act unimpressed. Athena gave him the "death" glare and he settled down.
"It's for you." Hazel answered.
"Really?" Zeus said sarcastically. "As if I didn't already know that. Look, if those 'gifts' are to make us help search for Percy, it's not going to happen. This did not impress me, so this certainly isn't working out like you hoped."
"Please, help us!" Piper begged, not noticing that she used a "hint" of charm speak in her voice.
"Okay," Zeus replied dreamily. I guess that's what happens when you cross Piper with her friends. This time, she was doing this for me. I felt so touched. So special.
All of the gods eyed Piper suspiciously. "What?" she asked. She had her hands in the air like she was being arrested by the police. "What did I do?" She clearly had no idea that she used charm speak.
"You charm spoke him!" Aphrodite hollered.
"Really?! Normally I can control that. Sorry!" she fretted. But I could tell with that smirk that she thought this was funny. It really was.
"Whatever. We all wanted to help, anyway. Zeus was the only one who didn't." Hephaestus replied.
"Wait, even my dad?" Frank questioned.
"Yep. I want to beat him into a bloody pulp when he gets back."
"Typical Father," Frank mumbled under his breath.
"What about Mr. D?" I asked.
"Oh, we asked him when he wasn't paying attention, so he just said, 'Wh-what? Yeah, okay, sure." Aphrodite giggled. You gotta admit, that is pretty clever. And funny, in a way.
"What?" Mr. D. yawned. Had he been asleep this while time? Maybe that's why he didn't answer.
"Mom, did you agree?"
"Yes." Athena stated. "I know how much he means to you, Annabeth. Sure, I don't like him, but, I'll do it for you."
"Aww!" Aphrodite and Piper let out. Like mother, like daughter, I suppose. Haha. My mom? Me? Do you get it? No? Whatever.
"Thank you!" we all thanked them as we started walking toward the elevator.
"You can just take the statues and put them anywhere you like, okay?" I informed them.
"Okay. We'll pick them up." Poseidon answered. Zeus still seemed dreamy. I silently giggled to myself and had a laugh. Haha. It was pretty funny.
We exited the building and headed back toward camp.
