We all went to our methods of transportation. I was on Blackjack with Percy. Piper, Leo, and Jason were on Festus. Leo patched him up-if I didn't mention that before. Once we were all ready, we took off for Alaska.
"Leo, so you know where we're going? You are leading this quest so far, so?" I asked.
"I know." Leo whined. "I'm not that stupid, you know."
"Tell us when we have reached our destination, please." I requested.
"Sure," Leo replied.
I turned to Percy. I was behind him, so it wasn't that hard. He was looking at Blackjack, so I'm assuming that they were communicating in their Poseidon way. I couldn't really tell.
"Hey, is it okay if I lean on you for support?" I asked.
"Yeah."
With that, I leaned on him and sadly, I let my guard down. I eventually fell asleep on Percy. I was just too tired and comfy laying on him. Although I wasn't exactly laying on him, I put most of my weight into him, so, ha.
When I woke up, the scenery was magnificent. The sky's colors were rich and beautiful. The orange and pink made the sunset look pretty, even though it truly was. I liked what was surrounding me.
Leo had Festus go downward and Blackjack followed. I thought that we were stopping for the day. We landed at a little café. Leo put Festus by the airport that was close by, incase of what the mortals thought, and we walked to the café.
I assumed that we were eating there and camping out for the night. I wanted to volunteer because I had gotten a little bit of rest over the ride.
Anyway, the café's food was delicious. We didn't get anything too expensive, so I only had a muffin. Still, it tasted pretty good. From my time awake, there hadn't been any monster attacks, and I hoped that our luck would progress. Boy, was I wrong.
After we left, we grabbed Festus and at the airport, we saw empousa. They were doing a cheer event and when they saw us, Leo was totally falling for their trick.
"Leo! Snap out of it!" Piper hit him on his shoulder.
"Wh-what?" Leo said.
"Good. He's out. Lets just try to leave them alone and not bother them. It's better for all of us if we they don't even notice us being here. Leo, please grab Festus and Percy, please call Blackjack." Piper exclaimed.
It was too late. Leo was walking toward the empousa and they were already looking at him and at us. Leo!
I quickly ran over to him just before the empousas spotted me. I grabbed his arm and pulled him away.
"Don't pull him. Let him stay with us." one of the cheerleaders said.
"Never." I replied. "We need to leave, anyway. Come on, Leo."
I slapped his arm not too hard, so that he would come back to me. "Oh-okay." Leo answered.
Just like that, the empousa transformed and Leo gasped in shock. "Help me fight them!" I instructed Leo.
At least Leo wasn't drawer to them anymore, but he could really fight. He pulled out many things from his tool belt, and in a few minutes or so, all of the empousa were gone.
I grabbed Leo and Leo and made our way back to the group. Thank the gods that this was only a minor attack. We can't afford severe ones.
We set up our camp and I was guarding. There wasn't anything suspicious and I was alert of my surroundings. Thankfully, no one got hurt.
When daylight was available, we started heading out on the road again. The rest of the trip was surprisingly peaceful, so we were kind of bored.
Eventually, we made it to Alaska. We saw Frank and Hazel at our meeting place, and we got off of our transports and walked over to them.

Author's Note
I'm very sorry for the really bad chapters and the slow updates lately. I want to make this book as much author-note-free as it can be. For me, it's a little annoying and I don't really like them.
Again, I apologize for this. Please forgive me!
More coming soon!
