Something Fishy

As I was packing for the quest, I noticed that ideas really the only one who was kind of excited. To tell you the truth, I'm always excited for new quests. I was never allowed to leave Camp when I was little, so a quest was always my big chance to get out into the real world. It's a childhood thing-you probably wouldn't understand.

As I mentioned earlier, it seemed like Jason, Leo, and Piper were all hiding something from me. Do you think it was the Percy not-being-awake-but-really-being-awake thing? Maybe. Is there something else that they're not telling me? Is there more to it?

Anyway, when I was almost done packing, I heard a knock on the cabin door. I glanced around and I saw that nobody was in there with me. I quickly jogged over to the door and opened it.

"Piper!" I greeted. Why was she here? Didn't she have packing to do, or something?

"Hey, Annabeth, I have something to tell you."

I knew it! They were hiding something from me! "Okay. Go on."

"We didn't get Percy because Chiron told us not to. It was really weird. It seemed like he would do something to us if we didn't obey. It was totally creepy." Piper exclaimed. Wow. What happened to the real Chiron, that I knew and loved?

"What happened besides that?" I asked.

"He gave us a somewhat evil glare. What do you think was going on?"

Was he possessed? "What color were his eyes?" I questioned.

"Uh... I don't know. I couldn't really tell. It was kinda hard to look at them directly. Again, this was totally weird about the whole conversation." Piper answered.

"Can you fetch Jason and Leo for me, please. I want to know more about this situation. I'll look too, but you're staying for the talk with them." I instructed.

"Sure!" Piper cheerily replied.

With that, we hopped off in different directions to find the boys. I hope that Piper knows that we're meeting back in my cabin! I totally forgot to mention that. Oh well.

I went to Leo's cabin first because I thought that Piper would like to talk to Jason, and I was correct. Piper merrily passed cabin 9 and went straight to Zeus' cabin.

I knocked on the door, and no one answered for a few minutes. It was almost like they were scared of me, but I doubt it. It was an awkward couple of minutes, though. I can tell you that much.

Finally, I called, "Leo! I need to speak to you! It's really important!"

Leo burst through the door, which really surprised me. As you might've probably guessed, I jumped back as the door swung open.

"Yeah?" Leo asked.

"I need you to follow me. This is really important, and I need you to be serious." I informed.

I had Leo on my heels as we jogged back to my cabin. To my surprise, Piper was already there with Jason by her side. Wouldn't that have taken her longer? Whatever. I guess not.

Anyway, I opened my cabin door and followed the 3 of them inside. I sat on my bed while they found any available space. I glared at each and every one of them.

"Listen, I know about your little secret." I informed Jason and Leo. They looked at each other in worry. As they realized the truth, they glared at Piper like, oh no you didn't. Piper gave back an I had to face.

"Tell me everything that you know." I instructed.

"Chiron told us to never tell anybody! Piper! How could you do this!" Leo argued.

"Just do it." Piper used her charm speak.

"Well, the conversation was a little awkward. Chiron told us not to bring Percy into the room, and when we protested, he gave is a somewhat evil glare, and we were frightened." Jason exclaimed.

"Then we noticed that if we didn't listen, he would injure us or something." Leo continued.

"What color were his eyes?" I asked again.

"Uh... Maybe it was gold? I don't know. It was hard to tell with us being scared, and all." Jason replied.

"It just wasn't his normal eye color." Piper noted.

"He might've been possessed! Just like I was at Camp Jupiter!" Leo chimed in.

"You're probably right. That's what I was thinking at first." I replied.

"So he was possessed!" Jason and Piper said at the same time.
