"What?" He said, stunned.

"Marry me." I repeated. "That's what you can do."

"How does that fix anything?" He asked.

"It doesn't, but it puts me here, with you. It gives you a reason to keep me close, it gives you a reason to keep me safe." I answered. "I know it's what we both want."

"I thought you said you didn't want to be married again."

"I changed my mind. Izzy made me realize that I wanted to be married to you." I said.

"You walked out on me." He stated.

"I wasn't going to stand there and let you break my heart over what happened today. If you want to leave me because you don't love me, that's one thing. I love you too much to let you leave over stupid shit." I said.

"You scared the fuck out of me. You told me you'd stop doing that." He said.

"Well, if I hadn't, would you have realized you don't actually want to break up?"

"Probably not." He replied. "How did you know it would work?"

"I didn't. That wasn't my motivation. It was either stay and get my heart broken, or leave, and maintain some of my dignity. If we did end, at least I was the one that walked out."

"At least you're honest." He said.

"I've never lied to you." I said.

"No, you haven't." He paused, then turned to look at me. "You really want to get married?"

"I do. If you'd asked me when you gave me this ring, I'd have said yes."

He pulled me into his arms. "We need to leave." He whispered.

I pulled away and smiled at him. "So that's a yes?"

"It is."

We went back to the hotel. We still had a lot to work on and talk about, but for now, we were where we needed to be; maybe not the same sentence, but at least the same paragraph. On our way, Tom called Ben and Luke and let them know that I was back with him. When we got back to our room, Tom took me into his arms.

His lips were everywhere as he dropped to his knees, peeling my clothes off as he went.

"Forgive me?" He asked looking up at me.

"Of course." I said. He stood and picked me up, then set me on the bed. I reached for his jeans, and he pulled his shirt off. I tugged his pants down, letting them drop to the floor, and kissed his stomach. He put his hand on my shoulder and guided me down. He kissed me again, deeply, as he trailed his hands across my body.

I wrapped my arms his neck, holding him close to me. He looked into my eyes.

"Tomorrow." I whispered.

"It's been tomorrow for nearly an hour." He whispered back. "What about it?"

"Not today tomorrow, your birthday tomorrow." I said with a smile.

"What about my birthday?"

"Let's get married." I said. "We can have a big ceremony later if you want; I've already done that, I don't need another."

"Tomorrow." He confirmed as he pushed into me. I tilted my head back and sighed as he filled me. His lips skimmed the skin of my neck as he moved his body against mine. I didn't ever want this to end. I met him thrust for thrust as we reached the peak together. Everything was simple when we made love, and as he collapsed onto me, I knew it was the only thing simple about us.
