"Marcus, did you go through my phone?" I asked when he walked in the door. "I'm trying to find my supervisors number, he wanted me to text him about picking up extra shifts, but it's not in my contact list."
"I don't even know the code to unlock your phone, Astrid." He said. He sat down on a dining room chair. "I had a shit day, what's for dinner?"
"I thought maybe we could go out." I got up and wrapped my arms around him from behind. "I was thinking Longhorns. We got a hundred dollar gift card as a wedding gift."
"Oh, I gave that to the girls for watching the cats while we were on our honeymoon." He said.
"Oh. I'd given them money for that already." I said.
"Well, I didn't know."
"I told you before we left. I said I was taking them money and getting the information for check in and I'd be back in a minute." I let go of him.
"No, you didn't." He said.
"Yes, I did. It was right before we left, you were loading the car." I said, getting defensive.
"No, you didn't. You went up to get the information we needed for check in, and we left."
"I did both, and I told you I was."
He stood up. "No, you didn't. I'm not in the mood for games. What are we doing for dinner?"
"I don't know now. We don't have anything to make here." I said.
"Why not? What have you been doing all day?"
"I unpacked, I put away our wedding gifts, I did laundry, I paid rent, and I sent off about fifty thank you notes." I replied.
"You couldn't have gone to the store?"
"With what money? You've got what's left from the wedding in your wallet." I reminded him.
"Then you come to me at work and get the money." He said. "You better figure out what the fuck is for dinner. I'm going to go take a shower." He got up and disappeared down the hall.
"If you give me money, I can go to the store and get what we need for the next week or so." I called out. He came and threw a twenty at me.
"I can't get a weeks worth of groceries on this." I said.
"Figure it out." He yelled, slamming the bedroom door. I sighed and left.
Before going to the store, I stopped at work to talk to the supervisor and see what shifts he needed me to pick up.
"Hey, before I leave, I need your number again. Somehow it went missing from my phone." I said getting up to leave. As he said it, I put it in my phone.
"Hey, did you block me on facebook for some reason?" He asked.
"No, why?"
"Well, I was going to message you with these shifts, but I couldn't find you." He messed around on his phone and handed it to me. He'd typed my name into the search bar, but I wasn't coming up. I pulled up facebook and accessed my block list.
"Holy shit." I said flopping down in a chair. "Nearly all of my male friends have been blocked."
"Who did you piss off?" my supervisor said with a laugh.
"Not sure." I said. I unblocked all of them and resent friend requests.
"You didn't marry the jealous type, did you?"
