Oval Office
"Lyndon Johnson, Mr President" Mrs Lincoln showed Lyndon in before Jack stood up. "Jack" Lyndon held out his arms ready for a hug but Jack stayed solemn. "Mr Johnson". Lyndon's face fell. "Jack? What has you so upset?". Jack was shocked but he didn't show it. He shrugged his shoulders. "Oh I don't know" Jack said like he was stupid but then he erupted.
"Maybe it's because you tried to kill Jackie!" Jack roared. He could see Lyndon was furious. "How'd you find out 'bout that?" Lyndon asked. "Jackie told me". The sentence was simple but Lyndon was in an emotion that was a mixture of shock, anger and mixed feelings of sadness and surprise rolled into one.
"Jackie is supposed to be dead!" Lyndon lept at Jack. But Jack threw a punch at him. He punched Lyndon under the chin and knocked him down. Lyndon got back up immediately and hit Jack in the arm before Jack poked Lyndon's eyes, and then slapped him on the face, so hard his nose started bleeding.
"Why did you try to kill my wife anyway?" Jack asked backing off. He quickly cleared his desk in case the worst should happen. He put his things in the safe nearby while Lyndon lay, disabled on the ground. "I hoped that the shock and sadness of her death would make you resign the presidency and I could take over" Lyndon confessed everything.
Suddenly Mrs Lincoln came in. She looked like she'd seen a ghost when she saw the Vice President. "Oh my God, Mr President?" she shook like a leaf. "My God, what happened?". Jack explained everything. Mrs Lincoln nearly fainted. She called for the Secret Service who called an ambulance. Lyndon was to be taken to hospital.
Before they left, Jack asked the ambulance crew to take him to Parkland.
"Why sir?" Asked one ambulance man.
"It's not going to the same hospital as my wife. Whom he nearly killed". That was all Jack had to say on the matter before he turned and went back inside, leaving the paramedics, stunned at the President's reaction.
