Oval Office

The second Jack got in the door to the office, Teddy was already firing questions at him.

"Woah, Jack what's all this about me being VP?" Teddy asked.

Jack looked at him blankly before sitting into his seat behind the Resolute. "Do you want the position of VP or not?" Jack asked him plainly. Teddy looked surprised. "Well is Bobby staying in politics?" Teddy asked. Bobby looked at his brother. "Until 1968, then I'm done. Only serving as Attorney General for another 2 years" Bobby said to his pale looking child face of a brother.

Teddy nodded. "Well, are you the new VP or not?" Jack asked his brother. The question was simple but the decision was hard. Jack explained it all to Teddy, what it involved and how it was full of motorcades, dinners and parties. And not only that, a bit of paperwork and an office. Teddy knew he couldn't let his brother down and it would bring more wealth to the family.

"Ok then Jack. I'll be VP" Teddy stood up. The three brother's shook hands, before heading onto the underpass and a photographer took a photo of them together for the papers. Jack knew he had to make a speech.

Yellow Oval Room

Jackie sat watching TV before another sudden news bulletin came up.

A special message from the President of the United States

In the background, the national anthem played before Jack appeared on the screen. He spoke clearly as Jackie watched grinning.

"People of America, after the recent announcement of the resignation of former Vice President Johnson, I have taken into my hands to appoint a new Vice President. I would to proclaim my brother Edward M. Kennedy as Vice President.

Mr Kennedy shall give his first public speech tomorrow at 2pm after taking his Oath of Office. Thank you and goodnight".
