22nd March 1966
Jackie was due her first scan. Jack went with her to the hospital, where Dr Travell would perform the ultrasound. Jackie lay on the bed and together she and Jack gripped hands and beamed as they saw Baby Kennedy wriggling around in Jackie's stomach.
"Oh God, it's beautiful" Jack began to cry. They collected their scan and looked. Jack placed a kiss on his wife's lips. He rubbed her stomach and felt it move, as did Jackie. "Oh God, I'm so happy" Jack smiled, in the car ride back to the White House. Jackie didn't know how to describe, how proud she was at this time.
She was proud when Kathleen was born but this time she was even prouder!
When they got back, Bobby and Teddy were waiting, while doing business, they noticed the baby scan, propped up against his picture of Jackie on the desk. They were so happy, they deliberately showed Jack the same documents so they just come and look at it. "Ok guys, it's the same document. Think I can't read. Take the scan. Look at it without brain washing me" Jack joked.
Jack laughed as his brothers glared at the scan. It's like they were looking at one of the seven wonders of the world.
