August 10th
After inspecting the bedroom next door to Kick's, that become the twin's bedroom, Jackie went to see her youngest child. Kick was already crawling and could manage walking as well. Kick had obviously grown to know her mother as when she came in, Kick 'walked' right to her and Jackie picked her up. "Oh Kick, good morning my little darling" Jackie beamed whenever she saw her daughter.
Jackie went over to the rocking chair and sat her daughter on her lap. "You're just a beautiful child Kick. I couldn't have asked for anymore beautiful children apart from the ones I'm expecting. I suppose John told you" Jackie giggled. She saw her daughter smiling. Kick laughed. Jackie beamed and held her daughter close to her.
Jackie began to fall asleep, as did Kick. She was asleep but her brain was still awake. A quiet tap came on the door. Jackie woke up and saw Jack sticking in his head. He was smiling and she smiled too. "How baby Kick doing?" Jack asked sitting on the cream sofa. Jackie grinned. "Oh she's just fallen asleep. She was smiling and laughing earlier" Jackie stood up and put her in her cot.
Kick was still asleep. Jack bent down and kissed her head. "Sleep well Kick". Then they both left the room.
Oval Office
After parting from Jackie in the residence, Jack headed down to the Oval. He had ordered an inquiry into who shot Teddy or 'EMK' (pronounced: em-k) as his brothers began to call him after the initials the papers printed.
It was pretty strange to see Teddy walking in with a walking stick but he managed anyway. When he sat down, Jack began firing questions at him. "Teddy did you see any person with a gun outside your house?" Jack asked. Teddy shook his head. "No, maybe they came from a moving vechile" Teddy suggested.
"Well whatever position they were in, they managed to get five bullets into you" Bobby joked. Teddy threw a punch at his brothers arm. "That's brotherly love" Jack joked which made everyone laugh.
Teddy was asked more questions but he couldn't answer any of them as he didn't know any answers. All he remembered was hearing a noise outside the front window and then hearing gun fire. He was sitting in the armchair beside the window reading the newspaper and then he felt a pain in his arm and then the window shattered and the glass got Joan. Then he felt a pain in both his legs, his right wrist and in his chest.
Whoever shot him, obviously did this on purpose and were certainly trying to kill Teddy.
