It was dark, cold, and musty in the stone cell she was forced in. She blinked slowly, her mind drifting once again. It started doing that more often, drifting away from reality, trying to form images.

She couldn't focus hard enough to try and see it, they always disappear.

It was like the first day she was there. She didn't know how she got there. All she remembered was being dragged, then thrown into a cell. One of her cell mates assumed that she hit her head on the way there and got amnesia.

A few people- kids actually- surrounded her form, asking her questions and trying to soothe her. They knew the situation was bad, but they wanted to keep their hopes up, that maybe things will get better.

It was strange, this place she was in. She met numerous people. Then see those same people lying on the floor unmoving. Not to mention, every- week? She's not sure, but in specific times, she would be taken out of her cell, and to a dark room.

Her breath hitched when the cell door suddenly slammed open, and a child her age was soon thrown in.

Funny, it was just like what happened to her. Thrown into the cell.

Her chest ached at the broken and distressed girl, getting up from her spot.

She placed a smile on her face as she approached the wary girl, reaching a hand out to her.

The girl meekly looked up, eyes wide and unblinking, then shakily looking down at her open hand. She took it cautiously and was quickly brought up to her feet.

"Hi, I'm Y/n. Y/n L/n." She tried to mimic the soft and sweet voice her friends gave her. She did it perfectly, for the girl on the floor smiled warmly at her.

"Erza," She breathed, "Just... Erza,"

"You don't have a last name?" A new voice piped up, this one naturally kind. The redhead shook her head dejectedly,  "No..."

Y/n smiled at her encouragingly,  "I know, maybe Jellal can give you one," Erza furrowed her brows, slightly.

"Jellal?" She mumbled.

The boy raised his hand, taking steps towards the two,  "I'm Jellal, Jellal Fernandez,"

Y/n nodded,  "I didn't remember my last name either, so he gave me one. The name reminds him of me, in a way,"

Erza smiled at it, feeling warmth bloom at her chest at the two kids.

"I thought of a better name," a new voice said. This time, a girl a little shorter, with a bowl cut walked up,  "But Wally said it was stupid,"

The boy presumed to be Wally spoke up,  "Well yeah- sorry Milianna, but kitty-kitty isn't something I'd want as a name," The girl huffed and placed her hands on her hips.

"Well, it wasn't your say in it,"

"It is, it was a group choice,"

"No, it wasn't!"

"Guys, please stop arguing!" A boy with slightly darker skin exclaimed, stepping out and spreading his arms to prevent them from possibly engaging physically.

"You shouldn't fight, please,"

"Yeah, be nicer, " A new one. This one had light skin and black hair.

He walked up to the redhead, outstretching a hand,  "Simon," He greeted.

"They're my friends," Y/n added.

Erza nodded and said her name, shaking his hand.

"Oh, what's this about you needing a last name?" The boy named Wally asked.
