Time and times passed but the war still rages on. Corrin and her family, and her family's retainers and her friends, continues their quest for peace. and also, they continue to find times and days to return to the Astral plane whenever Lilith is kind enough to lend her power for everyone to take a break.
Time has passed, and Kaze and Corrin's relationship has improved. Kaze was now Corrin's retainer. that being said, he's also confined to her about a dark secret he has yet to tell anyone else but Corrin. it's a secret he had planned to tell only to her.
The day the Nohria's kidnapped Corrin from Hoshido when she was very little, he saw some strange men in the town of Hoshido. he was only a child, so he wouldn't have known that those were the Nohrians who would later that night, kidnap her.
Kaze would regret not telling anyone about the strange folks he'd seen back at the time. but when Kaze told Corrin of this, she would stress on saying it wasn't Kaze's fault, and he was only a kid when it happened, and to not blame himself for not knowing. Kaze often thought himself as a bad man - a bad person because of this event.
But Corrin reassures Kaze that he isn't a bad person ; what happened wasn't his fault, and eventually because the two's bond grew and Kaze has always been besides Corrin all this time, protecting her from enemies who would threaten to kill her, she decides for Kaze to become her retainer.
It makes Kaze incredibly happy and feel honored for this.
But as more and more time passed....as the two's bond continued to grow.....Kaze began to gain feelings for Corrin.
But soon after realizing, he began noticing that all around him, everyone was suddenly getting married and all the women and men were being taken. as more started to be taken, the speed got quicker and faster til almost nobody was even single.
"I'm telling you, man! love's in the air!" Say's Hinata to somebody.
At this rate....somebody might take Corrin. but....I'm only her retainer. And....the war has yet to have ended. I can't waste my time on romance....what I need to do is protect Corrin and make sure she stays safe. but.....what if by the end of the war, I lose my chance?
Kaze worries and stresses these thoughts to himself as he does chores throughout the place.
Besides, she is a princess of Nohr.....there must be someone more suitable for her. besides, her father would never allow a man who once belonged to and sworn loyalty to Hoshido to wed his daughter. it's impossible....but....
As more and more time passed and the day worn on, Kaze stress's worst and worst on the situation on hand.
Maybe.....I should at least confess my feelings to Lady Corrin before it's too late. and even if she doesn't end up feeling the same....even if she begins to share feelings for somebody else, or already for that matter, I at least want her to know how I feel. just before it's too late.
Kaze thinks to himself.
It was evening. the sky was turning pinkish and Kaze was already determined on finding Corrin and telling her how he feels. whether it's at the very spot he finds her, out in public even, or in private - he just wants to tell her.
He asks around for where Corrin might be, and Peri tells Kaze that she's in her private quarters.
Kaze arrives outside of Corrin's private quarters, and he begins climbing up the tree into her place and suddenly there was a shout...
"What in the blazes do you think your doing?!!"
Kaze jumps in a start and turns his face over his shoulder to see no other, than the finest butler that Nohr has to offer - Jakob.
"Jakob? what are you doing here?" asks Kaze.
"What am I doing here? what are you doing here?" questions Jakob.
"I was going to see Lady Corrin." explains Kaze as he climbs down to face and talk to Jakob properly.
"Oh, were you? and did you ask her first?"
"E-Excuse me?"
"I said did you ask her first? you can only be invited into Lady Corrin's Private quarter's if she invites you. you cannot enter of your free will. maybe a month or more ago, you snuck in on your free will to have a chat with Lady Corrin, but I won't tolerate it this time!"
"Wait a minute, how did you--"
"I cannot answer that. but, if you still wanted to know what I'm doing here, I am here to serve her, her evening tea."
Jakob reveals a plate of two cups of tea on top with a few napkins.
"Did Lady Corrin invite you?"
"Why, no. I am her butler. I can enter as I please. now, if you'll excuse me, I am ready to serve her evening tea, thank you very much."
Jakob climbs up to the top and walks inside.
"Oh, hey Kaze!" Corrin waves as she passes him by and into her Private quarters.
but....wasn't she supposed to already be in her...? Well, either way, it appears that Kaze has found himself a competition....
