As more days and days worn on, Kaze becomes desperate to express his love to Corrin. he's never able to have a time with her, or alone. not even in battle! every time he tries reaching out to her in battle, Jakob get's in the way.
So much for that Will and Elizabeth scene from PIRATES; WORLDS END, when the two fights on the ship and confess to each other and even marries!.....not that Kaze would go as far as to ask Corrin to marry him or anything.
Kaze tries many things to get a chance to talk to her. once he grabbed a bunch of rose flowers he found in the woods, (you'd mistake them from coming from town, they were so beautiful ) and he tries approaching her with them, but Jakob, the smart butt, get's in his way once more, dragging Corrin away, yet again!
Peri happened to been passing by at that moment and when she saw the flowers....
"Oh my, is this for me? thank you!" she takes all the flowers and shoves the flower petals into her mouth, chews them off the stem, chews them in her mouth, taste them, and realizing that roses doesn't taste any good....spits them out.
Jakob's ranking with Corrin before Jakob even started interfering between her and Kaze was rank C, but now, their relationship ranking has scored up to rank A!
Kaze eventually was at a loss and knew he wouldn't stand a chance. wasn't being Lady corrin's retainer enough? Kaze would think to himself. he yet again, had found some roses for her.
He was standing in front of her Private quarters, but when he heard Corrin and Jakob laughing together from the inside.....he drops the flowers, giving up, and walks away to get some sleep...
The next morning, when Corrin walked out, she stepped onto something thorny.
"OW-!!" she cries.
She then notices a pile of roses....a bunch.
"What's this....roses? could somebody had left them here for me?" wonders Corrin aloud.
That actually wasn't even Kaze's intention. he just dropped them because he gave up. he completely lost his senses at that moment and didn't even realize that he had dropped the flowers right in front of her Private quarters....
"Hm....?" I wonder who these belonged to? were they for me? was someone too shy to give them to me in person? or perhaps it's somebody else's or mentor someone else? hm....what a mystery! I'll have to find out who's these belongs to!" decides Corrin.
She asks all around and nobody says it's theirs or that they given it to her. and eventually she came across Kaze and asked...
"Hey Kaze,these aren't your roses, are they?"
Corrin was holding all of the same exact roses that he had dropped that night. in front of her Private quarters. the same ones. the real deals.
Kaze's face would have gone red, he'd be totally blushing and trying to possibly say no, but in this case.....feeling gloom mooded and feeling given up on this, he denies it and replies "No." and leaves.
