It was another day in the astral plains of Hoshido. Hisame was accompanying Midori in the woods picking herbs for her to brew to make medicine for the army. "Thank you for always coming with me to pick herbs, Hisame." The girl thanks Hisame sweetly with a kind smile.
"Your very welcomed. Of course I have to come, I did promise to always go with you in order to keep you safe and so you never get lost in these woods again." Hisame returns a smile. "But Hisame, do you enjoy doing this with me?"
"Of course. I look forward to this everyday." Hisame beams in happiness. "Yay! I'm so glad!" Midori cheers. "Knowing that you're enjoying yourself as well makes me glad." Midori giggles cherrily.
But the two children stops in their tracks when they could have sworn that they heard some rustling in the grass. "W-What was that?" Stuttered Midori, uncertain if they were just hearing this. But a second later, Hisame pulls his samurai blade out and stands in front of Midori to act as her shield.
"Who are you?" Hisame glares, his words unwelcoming and cold. "Oh, just a bandit passing by." A voice coming from behind a tree giggled. A huge man came walking out from behind it. He looked incredibly powerful but also intimidating as he smirked at the children in a eerie manner.
"Midori, stay back!" Hisame warns Midori to get as far away from him as possible, and she does exactly as he says and takes several steps back. "You children...your so young, your blood would look absolutely beautiful on my blade. Hee, hee...." The man chuckled.
What the heck is wrong with this guy?!
Hisame thought to himself in his mind. But then the Bandit begins to swing his blade at Hisame and Hisame as swift as the wind, blocked off the attack with all his strength.
This guy...he's strong--!!
The bandit and Hisame jumps back, distancing themselves from the other as they studied each other, not once altering their eyes away. "You seem pretty well trained with the sword, my boy." The bandit completed, his smile not once leaving. "I taught myself." Hisame says. "Awww....was daddy never there to teach you?" The Bandit teased in pity. "Shut up!!" Hisame barks before the Bandit came charging at him again.
Hisame attempts to read the enemies move, but this time, the Bandit was too fast. With his foot, the bandit kicks a powerful blow for Hisame's stomach and he crashes into the back of a tree. "Hisame, no!!" Cries out Midori in fear.
The Bandit burst out in uncontrollable laughter. He was enjoying this. Hisame laid his back against the tree, his fingers twitching and his head hung low. What a powerful enemy...it's not like anything he's faced off against before.
"Aw, is that all you got? How disappointing. I thought that you might bring more of a fight. No matter. I'll just decorate my blade with your fresh blood before going for the girl." The man giggled. "Hisame!!" Cries Midori, hoping for the young samurai to stand back up.
