Kiragi's Mom and Dad - Rinkah and Takumi
It was another day in Corrin's camp resting in the grassy fields of Hoshido. All was peaceful...but that was soon to change.
"Hisame! Hisame!!" Midori, the young daughter of the loyal ninja Kaze, called out for her dear friend while skipping on over to the boy in childlike glee.
"Oh, Midori." Smiled Hisame, delighted to see no other than sweet Midori. "What might bring you skipping on over for?"
"Hisame, you promised to always and forever come with me whenever I search for medicine ingredients in the woods. That way I won't get lost. So...may you come with me?"
"Why yes, of course! And I couldn't help but to notice your change in grammar. You usually would say can you come with me. But this time you said may you come with me. Very nice, Midori." Hisame nods his head in approval.
Hisame loved seeing Midori improve in her grammar. It meant that she was learning, that she was becoming smarter.
"Thank you, Hisame! I sorta learned to change my choice in words the hard way, however." Midori was originally smiling, but now a look of slight fear reflected in the girl's lavender eyes.
"What's this? You learned the hard way? How so?" Hisame lifts his brow in worry.
"While mama was away from our Private Quarters, I was alone with our Butler Jakob. Just like usual I asked him if he can make me a cup of tea. But then he scolded me, correcting me that I should have said, May I have a cup of tea. Jakob is always so nice to mama...but when weir alone, Jakob can be so mean..."
"Well...that does sound kinda harsh. But I'm sure he meant good intentions. I think the reason he corrected your choice in words was so you could learn to use a wiser set of words. And perhaps the reason he did it when your parents were away was because he can't really gather the courage to correct you out of fear of your parents scowling at him for it? Your parents might would want to go easy on you, but as for Jakob, he may want to go the extra mile for you. This is of course, only a speculation. I'm sorry for saying so much and if any of what I implied was incorrect."
Hisame mentally facepalms himself after finishing his, what felt like a speech to both himself and to Midori. But Midori simply shakes her head back and forth before a smile began to spread out wide across her face.
"No, Hisame. Thinking it over, I think everything you just said is true. Maybe the reason Jakob is a little hard on me is because he simply wants the best for me. Thank you for helping me realize that."
"U-Uh...it's no big deal." Hisame blushes before changing the topic. "How about we go and collect some more herbs for your brewing?"
"Yes! I would love that!" Beams Midori before tagging along with Hisame deep into the woods resting outside the camp.
Outside the camp's border, guarding the entrance on duty, was Prince Takumi. He watched from afar when Midori and Hisame walked together into the woods for medicine herbs to help out the army.
"Aw, they're cute. They would actually make a cute couple one day." Mummers Takumi, quietly to himself.
"Actually, dad, they are a couple." Kiragi, Takumi's son who was standing besides him, informed. "W-W-WHAAAAAT?!!" Takumi nearly screamed, while his eyeballs almost popped on out.
"I wasn't supposed to tell anyone though, so please, keep it a secret. They worry about their parents getting mad at them for it. So please don't chew them out."
"O-Okaaaaay...?"
And did Takumi ever keep this a secret? We all sure hope so. Because if their parents find out, Midori may cry.
