Part 1
It was another day in the Deep Realm of Nohr. Corrin had just raised kane with her older brother, Xander. For he has officially announced to the country of Hoshido, that Nohr wishes to go to war.
If Hoshido declines, Nohr will simply attempt a sneak attack. But Ryoma, the next heir for Hoshido's throne who also plays the role as the ruler, is wise. He will likely accept since he will be quite aware knowing that Nohr wants to go to war, that they will be trouble.
Corrin thrown a fit and demanded for Xander to stop this "Madness" and to fix what has been done. But Xander only got more frustrated with his sister by the second she screamed and pleaded.
"SILENCE!!" Xander spoke in his deep strong voice. The instant he done thus, Corrin indeed fell silent. Xander sighed before speaking to Corrin in a less louder voice. But the frustration in his tone could still be heard, despite Xander's efforts of trying to conceal it.
"Corrin, you know as well as I do that once a leader request or makes it known that their said country wishes to go to war with the other, there is no going back. The country or said kingdom that is threatened with a war message, will instantly know that whoever issued the message and from where, is a threat. And all threats must be suppressed and annihilated. I can erase the letter that my messenger had brought over to Hoshido. And Ryoma has returned a letter saying that he agrees. No matter how badly you might wish for it, sometimes blood shed is the only answer."
"Brother Xander, can you HEAR yourself right now?! Sometimes blood shed is the only answer...?! That's because you aren't even trying to understand them!! All they want is peace! They don't want fighting, they don't want death, they don't want suffering! If you don't even try to settle things peacefully like civilized humans, your no better than a blood thirsty wolf filled with nothing but greed!!"
"I SAID SILENCE!!!" Xander barks at Corrin, barely able to take this for any longer. "Brother... I know you are doing this because of father. He's using you; he's using all of this. He's power hungry, and you know it. And yet... you allow yourself to be his pawn, his toy. If you truly wanted what is best for Nohr... you wouldn't have made this terrible mistake."
With that, Corrin stepped out her brother's courtroom, and as soon as she closed the door, she darted off in a flash.
Xander sits himself down before face-palming himself and letting out a heavy sigh. Did Corrin really believe that he wanted this? For innocent Hoshidoans to die by their kingdom's hands...?
Sure, Xander might not believe Hoshido including it's people to be very well thought of, but he doesn't want senseless death from both sides.
But... sometimes the only way to earn peace is to fight. And nobody, under any circumstances, could ever disobey the king's orders or wishes.
Corrin was right... Xander was allowing his father to use him as a pawn for his own gain. Xander has been aware for a very long time, how the king has changed.
His once warm and gentle heart has now changed into a heart colder than ice.
Xander knows that Garron may not have very high or nobel plans for Nohr, but... he is simply too powerless and weak to go against the one ruling above him.
But how much Xander wished he could solve things more peacefully like Corrin desired. And how much Xander wished he wasn't his own father's pawn. And how much Xander wished he could get his real father back; but it will not happen.
Because after coming so far... it's completely impossible to go back and fix things.
