(7)Scrawny Heroes

So, I was very right about everyone breaking through the door. The first two to get in. Was Jason and Nico, how nice. The next set was Frank and Piper. Then Hazel and Annabeth strolled in, giving Percy and I knowing looks. Jason picked Percy up no problem and 'talked' with them.

"Where were you? You left with Leo, than never came back. Did you two do something secret? Was it bad? Did you get-."

"Calm down Superman. We just went to talk to a staff about. Gender things." Jason calmed down, but gave Percy a stern but worried look.

"Is something wrong? Do you need help with anything?" Percy shook their head, and I tried not to laugh at how a)How worried Jason is being, and b). How he thought it was Percy. Percy cupped Jason's cheeks.

"No, I'm fine now. I just needed to get something. Okay?" Jason nodded.

"Fine, but you know you can come to me?" Percy nodded, a smile tugging at his lips.

"Of course." My turn.

"Alright, break it up. What time did Chiron say we needed to be at the pool?" Piper and Hazel spoke at the same time. "In 10 minutes." I snorted, leaving Jason and Percy to start laughing.

"Okay let's get our swimwear on. Percy, Jason can help you with the shirt, it's a little tight." Everyone nodded and Jason gave Percy the 'raised eyebrows' look. I tossed Percy the shirt and they started to explain to Jason why they had it as the two walked into their room. Everyone else went to their rooms, but I rushed into Nico and I's, quickly kicking the bag under the bed. Than quickly 'searching' for my swimsuit. Nico walked in, eyebrows raised.

"Looking for your swimwear?" I nodded.

"I'm sure I'll find it. I'll even go into the closet for ya'." Nico went red and rolled his eyes. I snapped the bag up and slid it under the closet door without Nico seeing. Than walked into the closet myself. It was dim, but enough to slip my trunks on. I waited for Nico to finish.

"Okay, I'm done. I'll meet you outside."

"Okay." I shouted back and waited for him to leave. I left the closet and looked at the binder and swim shirt. I might need help with the- nope. I got this. I slipped my normal suspenders off, along with my white long sleeve and orange T-shirt. I stared at the swimming items in my hand though. I was cut off of my thoughts when a knock came to the door."Yeah?" It was Jason.

"Hey, we're going, meet you there?" I shouted back an agreed reply and he left. I managed to slip my swim wear on and ran out the door, barefoot.

I caught up with the others quickly too. Jason and Piper were chatting, but suddenly Jason tripped on rock and fell forward. Piper was in front of him, so she held him up.

"Get off of me you oversized boy!" Jason laughed and pulled himself up. Piper huffed, acting like he was 1 ton. It was pretty funny. When we got to the lake most of everyone was there. So we just found a spot on shore and conversated while we waited for the last cabin to arrive. Once they got there, a girl grabbed a megaphone, she was mid 20's my guess. Another woman stood next to her.

"Hello everyone! We've decided, that instead of playing capture the flag, the high dive will be open. The huge cliff to your right you may climb and jump off of it!" People cheered and Percy looked like a 5 year old on their birthday morning. "Okay, so, anyone who wants to learn to swim and can't join Leah over there! If not, than go have fun!" She shouted and teens made their way into the water. Percy, Hazel, and Piper wanted to go to the cliff. So we made the 10 minute climb. We got to the top and there were a few others were jumping off. Percy sprinted to the edge and screeched with joy before backing up and leaping up, diving into the water below. People on the shore cheered.

Piper and Hazel jumped off together. I decided to stay away from the edge though. It was just giving me a bad feeling. So, I just sat against one of the rocks, watching Jason and Annabeth jump off. Nico was at the bottom, watching us. He didn't like swimming, so we didn't push him.

After 4 hours of jumping and swimming. I walked back up again, the sunset was beautiful too. Three girls from cabin 3 were playing on the edge, daring each other to jump.

I decided to leave and go back down, maybe talk with Nico. I was a little bit farther down, when I heard a screech. Turning, I ran back up. I was in awe by the sight on front of me.(Who recognizes this scene? Comment the show down below) There were two men, clearly wasted. They were talking in slurred voices to the girls.

"Hey ladies, wanna have a good time? It'd be fun." I growled, how do I help them? It's one verses two. The girls declined and two of them managed to get out of their grip and ran down the hill, shouting for help. So, one last girl, maybe I can grab her and run? Wait- no there's two girls, how? Oh is that Hazel? My eyes widened when I saw the dark skinned girl. She shoved the guys back, standing in front of the girl from cabin 3.

The guy fell off the edge and into the water below. There were police below, that grabbed him. The 2nd guy turned to her and growled. I heard Percy's voice shout to me as he climbed up. I didn't have time to wait though. I sprinted out from behind the rocks, just as the guy slapped Hazel. Oh he did not! I reared my fist back and punched him with so much force I watched as he staggered backwards. The guy steadied himself glaring at me with unfocused eyes. Hazle gasped.

"Leo!" The guy stood up and grabbed the front of my shirt, throwing me to the side. He grabbed Hazel's wrist and yanked her towards him, she screamed and tried to shove him back. So, I picked up a good sized rock and chucked it at him. The guy shouted out in pain and dropped Hazel turning on me. I scrambled up, but he grabbed my elbow pulling me back.

"Listen here you little, *hic* br-brat. Don't g-get all tough wi-with *hic* me now." Making sure no one was watching, I lightly set a hand on the one grabbing my arm and sparked it, burning him. "You devil!" He shouted at me and dragged me to the edge of the cliff. I kicked back, watching as Hazel threw a rock at the back of his head. The guy turned trying to hit her again. I yanked down on his hand, making him miss by a long shot.

The guy turned on me once more. "I've h-had it with you!" He dangled me over the edge, Hazel screamed again, knowing that if she made a step forward, he'd drop me. I squirmed, trying to get out of his grip. I saw Percy, and Nico from the side point view of my eyes.

"Leo! Don't drop him!" I heard Nico shout desperately. The guy smirked and pointed to Hazel.

"I leave with her, t-than I let t-this fire st-starting brat go!" Nico shook his head, obviously having a difficult time choosing between Hazel, and I. There wasn't a choice though. So, I smiled at Nico, he gave me a confused look, eyebrows furrowed and mouth turned down in a frown.

"There's no choice! Hazel stays!" I shouted and clasped both of my hands around the drunkards he looked at me in confusion as I focused my fire, and spiked 200 degrees up. The guy screamed in agony and let go of me, letting me drop. I yelped and I heard my name being called. Mid-air I saw a blurred shape jump after me. I'd hit the water first though, I knew that. The figure gained speed and right as I saw Nico's desperate face, I slammed into the water.
