Nico's POV

Hazel, Frank, Leo, and I made our way to the campfire. It wouldn't be hard to find even if it was out. The obnoxious sound of teens could be heard from a mile away. As we got closer to the fire, all of us got brighter from the light. It was Leo, however, who stood out the most.

While the other two went to Annabeth and Piper, Leo saw Percy and Jason. Percy was leaning on Jason a little bit, rubbing the -I assume sleep- out of their eyes. While they were chatting. The fire was more like a bonfire. It was big, but not small either.

The light bounced off of Leo's skin. His amber eyes burned almost as bright, if not brighter, than the fire. The voices around me dulled a bit and I just kinda stared at the tanned teen. His curls bounced every time he moved, and he had that cheeky, mischievous grin spread across his face. Leo wasn't too short, but not tall at all. He had an hourglass build and he was lean. To sum it up. Leo was a beautiful human being. Don't get me wrong, he can be super annoying, but, he was very pleasing to look at.

I saw him look back and his eyes connected with mine, his grin growing. My cheeks burned and I huffed, looking away. If he prys about this, I'll deny everything.

Everyone was having such a fun time. I saw a few couples here and there. All the teens were so relaxed, friendly, and happy. I can't help but- but, wonder if I'll ever get there, sometime in my life. I shook my head, shut up you emo nightmare! Stop complaining! I was snapped out of my thoughts by a hand on my wrist. Looking up, I was met with bright, burning eyes. "So, when are you comfortable with telling?" The latino asked me. I felt a small smile come up. I loved this about Leo though. He was always putting others before him. It wasn't, When can we tell? It was When are you comfortable with telling? I turned to him.

"You choose. I've thought many things over, I'm ready whenever you are." Leo grinned and nodded. He opened his mouth to say something, but a loud voice rung out over everyone.

"Okay! Hello everyone, tonight is the first night we start doing the campfire, which is something we usually do every night. Before we start, there are some announcements to make. First of all, the four of July is in two days. Please be ready for fantastic fireworks-" The crowd of kids cheered, cutting him off. Then, Chiron continued, "-anyway. Now, onto more important matters. There are some, things, that explain why straight people, dislike, or maybe envy our, lgbtq, community. This is because, once a person figures out that they're lgbtq, it triggers a specific, uhm, ability. Most abilities are very, unique, and set apart. I do not know if anyone has abilities yet. But if you do, if you're comfortable with it, could you step forward and explain. We'll start with a couple of our staff first. Leah, Cody."

I glanced to the side and watched as the two staff stepped forward, excitement written over their faces. Leah went first. She twirled her finger and a a green vine shot out of the ground, then a couple more. I gasped, being one of two closest to it. Leo being the second one, him being Cody's younger brother, I found out pretty easily.

Everyone, whooped at her power, which made me think there we many others out in the crowd who knew of their powers. No way I was showing mine though. I was able to teleport in shadows, and summon animated skeletons. This helped with being able to tell when someone was close to death. Cody was next. He whispered something in Leo's ear, who nodded. Cody threw his arms up.

"I can't do anything special. Only a little this." I waved a hand and trained it in Leo's direction. The hand glowed purple and so did Leo for a second. Then, the short teen was lifted in the air. Leo grinned up there as everyone cheered at the power. Then he started laughing.

"Wow, the first Latino superman. Really scrawny too, my secret identity will be hidden well." Half the group burst into laughter and smiles. Cody rolled his eyes and dropped Leo, then caught him. Leo punched Cody in the arm, but smiled at him. Chiron spoke next.

"Anyone else?" Of course Percy spoke up.

"I can try." Chiron nodded to him and Percy turned to everyone around him. "You guys might wanna step back a bit." Everyone did as told and Percy focused his hands in the direction of the lake. After a moment, a small wave of water splashed through, making sure to not get anyone wet and lifted Percy off the ground. The thing was, he didn't get wet(I swear if anyone makes a dirty joke. I swear). Percy shouted down to Jason, "Hey! Catch!" The water disappeared back to the lake within seconds and Percy dropped out of the air, and Jason quickly jumped up, catching the green-eyed teen. Percy was laughing his ass off and Jason just kissed him. A real kiss. Everyone cheered for the two, and Percy jumped off of Jason. Next, Jason spoke up.

"I can go, and it would be preferred if people could step back." Everyone did as told and I watched intently, awaiting to see what the blonde had in store. He held an arm straight up to the sky and a rod of lightning shot down and right through Jason's body. The blonde teen came out unscathed. That one got some impressed cheers. I looked around and saw Leo step forward. His fire would definitely catch attention.

"Okay Superman, my turn. Everyone needs to back up on this one. It's something really small. But, you know. Every little thing counts." I turned and realized he was looking right at me. Knowing what he meant, my face heated up and I looked away, the smallest of smile's on my face. I felt a wave of heat and looked over, seeing Leo light his body on fire. Then, shot to spiral beams of flames into the night sky. Lighting everything around us, up. People cheered and whooped him, as he defeated himself. Piper walked up to him.

"Can I please hug you? I just wanna test something." Leo raised an eyebrow, but slowly nodded. She hugged him and sighed, pulling back. "You're so warm! I'd bet you'd warm even Nico up with that!" I winced a bit. I know she meant that as a joke. But, still. Leo's next words were surprisingly comforting.

"Oh Pipes, he doesn't need warming up! He's his own heater." My face heated up and I shrugged, crossing my arms. Piper, awed as others showed their power. Most were catagorized by what part of lgbtq they were. Leo was watching as Frank shifted into a bear, then a cat, then a fox.

So, I hesitantly hugged him. Leo stiffened, and I started to pull away, apologizing. But, the curly-haired boy just pulled me back. I melted into it, literally. Piper was right, Leo WAS warm, a really comforting warmth though. We pulled away, no words and watched as people finished. Then Cody and Leah came out with a few bags of marshmallows. That was a mistake. Everyone sprinted over to them.

But, Cody used his telekinesis to float a bag over to Leo and I. It was really nice. Percy came over to Leo. "Hey my dude. Can you, maybe. Light a hand on fire?" Leo raised an eyebrow, but nodded and lit a hand on fire. Percy smiled, "Thanks!", and roasted a marshmallow over his fire. Leo laughed and others joined, those who couldn't get to the fire who wanted to.

"Get in line. This is a small flame." Then the tanned teen laughed. "Just kidding! Back up a bit, I'll light my ars on fire." Everyone did so and Leo light both of his arm with flames. People cheered for Leo and used his heat to roast their mallows.

Once everyone was done, Leo was covered in marshmallow goop. He complained a bit, but Percy doused him in water, to which Leo scolded him for. Leo just re-lit himself and came back to me. "I'm so happy to be able to use my flames freely. It, feels limitless." I nodded and we both sat on one of the logs, from using his flames, Leo was a little tired and leaned on me. So, when no one was looking, I nervously wrapped an arm around him and pulled him closer.

I let out a small sigh in content. He really was truly warm.
