Acrophobia: the fear of heights
Grayson's POV"I bought you Starbucks," Ethan said as he walked through my bedroom door.
"Yes," I said with a smile and taking my cup from him. "Thank you."
Ethan nodded and sat down on my bed.
"How's the editing coming?" He asked while taking a sip of his drink.
"I don't know if I'll be able to finish it unless I stay up all night and do it," I said while running a hand through my hair.
"Is it really that hard?"
"It's long and hard." I sighed.
"That's what she said," Ethan said with a smirk.
"You're disgusting, please leave." He laughed.
"Anyway, I was thinking..." He smiled. "We should go skydiving again."
"Or not..." I said awkwardly.
"Why not?"
"You know I'm scared of heights."
"Gray, you should be over that by now. We've made like 3 videos in which you skydive, one with a blindfold on!"
"Yeah but both times I was scared, hello?" I rolled my eyes. "Besides, skydiving could be very dangerous."
"What's dangerous is the fact that you're 19 and you're still scared of heights after doing two risky things that involve heights."
"I just don't like heights, okay?"
Ethan rolled his eyes. "I met a fan at Starbucks."
"Really?"
"Yup, super chill, kinda jittery though. And she had her friend with her. It was so funny."
"Funny?" He nodded.
"So, Charlie, the jittery one, was just super hyped to meet me and then her best friend, Roonie, literally looked so dead the whole time. I just couldn't stop laughing. And Roonie was like really shy but she cracked a joke here and there."
"Roonie?" I asked.
"Yeah, I thought her name was freaking dope."
"It is." I went back to editing while Ethan went on and on talking about his day.
"We should go do something fun." I continued to edit. "Like, let's go to Santa Monica Pierre and just hang."
"We don't have time to hang, Ethan. We need to film and edit and film and edit and manage to put up quality content."
"Yeah but we also need to take a break and have fun, Gray. We're still kids, dude."
I rolled my eyes.
"Look, if I edit our videos for the rest of the month, do you promise we can go to Santa Monica together and have a day of fun?" He asked.
I thought about it for a quick second. "Deal. Get to work."
I grabbed my drink and made my way out to the pool.
"I meant I'd edit the rest after we uploaded this video tomorrow!" Ethan called as I pulled off my shirt and got into the pool.
"Get to work, Ethan!"
...
"Do you think we'll ever have girlfriends?" Ethan asked as we floated around in the pool.
"What?" I asked while sitting up and looking at him.
"I mean, think about it. We're 19 and we don't have girlfriends."
