deinophobia - the fear of dinosaurs
Grayson's POVI woke up to the sound of whispering. I opened my eyes and looked around letting my eyes adjust to the light.
"He's waking up!" Sean's voice whispered. I smiled and looked over to see Roonie with a finger to her lips while helping Sean get ready for school.
"Good morning," I said stretching and yawning a bit.
"Good morning!" Sean said excitedly. I lied on my back with my arms tucked behind my head.
"Need help?" I asked.
"No, I think he's good. He just has to eat breakfast and then I'll drop him off to school," Roonie answered. "I made breakfast. It's on the table."
"I can drop him off if you want." I smiled.
"It's okay. Sean's school is on my way to work. It'd be way easier for me to drop him off since you live in the other direction."
"Can Grayson take me to school?" Sean asked looking up at Roonie.
She sighed and looked at me. "Can you take him to school?"
"Of course."
Roonie finished combing his hair and doing it nicely.
"Okay, time for breakfast. You can't be late today..."
"Yay!" Sean smiled brightly and walked over sticking his hand out. "Let's go eat breakfast."
I smiled and took his hand, using my muscle to pull myself up since his 5-year-old body was incapable of doing so.
I walked into the kitchen, my arms crossing over my bare chest because of the cold. Roonie followed close behind.
"Roonie's famous fluffy pancakes," I said with a smile, looking up at Roonie who smiled. "My favorite."
"I know." She smiled.
She walked to the kitchen and grabbed a gallon of orange juice. God, she looked good in that nurse uniform. It fit her body really well, and the teal color complimented her eyes.
She walked back to the table and sat down beside Sean, placing the gallon in the middle. There was a yawn and I turned my head to see Dylan in the hallway.
"Dyl, come eat," Roonie said pointing at the spot next to me.
He rubbed his eyes and nodded, walking over.
"Where's Char?" He asked putting pancakes on his plate.
"I think she went for an early morning run."
He nodded.
"Thank you, mommy," Sean said looking up at Roonie.
"Your welcome, my love," Roonie replied. I smiled.
"Thanks, Roo," I said softly.
"Anytime, G."
"Thanks bi-"
"Dylan," Roonie scolded. He laughed.
"Thank you."
"Of course."
After everyone finished eating, Roonie and I stood in the kitchen washing dishes while Sean finished getting stuff ready for school and Dylan returned to his room to get ready.
"Hey... about last night," she said softly.
"The pickle?" I asked.
"No. After that. I- I was caught up in the moment and I wasn't thinking."
