vestiphobia: the fear of clothing
Grayson's POV:
Wedding Countdown: 3 weeks

"For the wedding ring, I'm getting her name engraved on the inside part of mine, and my name will be engraved on this inside part of hers," I explained to Ethan.

"Isn't that a little much?" I looked up at him and rolled my eyes.

"No, it's not. A lot of people do it."

"Yeah... but you already went all out with your proposal-"

"Ethan, can you just let me do my wedding the way I want?" I asked.

"Yeah, sorry..." I nodded.

"Anway, but when we have kids, my ring is plain on the outer portion, so I'm going to get all of their names engraved on mine."

"What if Roonie wants to do that too?"

"Then I'll let her do it... God, Ethan. You're making everything so complicated."

"Sorry..." he said sarcastically. I rolled my eyes. "Hey, are you inviting Bethany Perry to your wedding?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Why, Grayson?"

"What?"

"Why would you invite your psycho ex-girlfriend to your wedding?"

"She's not psycho."

"Yes, she is."

"No, she's not."

"So, you mean to tell me that that girl Reagan Walker just went homeschool for free?"

"Yes-"

"No, Grayson! She didn't! Reagan was one of our closest friends, but you were too oblivious to realize that Beth would tease and taunt and torment the fuck out of her! And she's slowly starting to do the same exact thing to Roonie!"

"I told Roonie not to worry about Beth."

"Well, she is."

"She shouldn't-"

"She should! She told Cam everything and Cam told me. I don't know about you, but if my fiance, the girl I'll be marrying in a few weeks, said she had odd vibes from my ex, I'd take that as a sign not to invite that person."

"I know what I'm doing, Ethan. You just need to chill out and so does Roonie."

"Are you hearing yourself?"

"Yeah, I am. Roonie's just being paranoid and so is everyone else." He groaned.

"Whatever... but if something goes wrong before or during your wedding, don't be surprised when I say, I told you so." He got up and walked into his room.

I sat there and looked through the list of things. I got all of the orchids and centerpieces ordered. I also got the DJ booked. I was just waiting for the rings to come in, plus my editor to finish editing the wedding video that I wanted to play.

I heard the front door being unlocked and I looked over to see Roonie.

"Hey, babe," I said with a smile as she walked over with her school bag and wearing her volleyball stuff.

"Hi," she said tiredly, flopping down next to me on the couch. "What are you doing?"

"I'm finishing stuff up for the wedding." She sighed.

"I'm sorry for not helping-"

"It's okay. You're busy with school and stuff. I understand. Your education and your dreams should be your priority. Don't worry about anything. I'll handle it."
