Atychiphobia: the fear of missing out
Grayson's POV:
"This is really good," Roonie said as we sat on top of the roof of my Bronco while eating ice cream and staring out at the ocean.
It was dark and we were the only two on the beach.
The waves rose and crashed. It was peaceful.
"Thank you for coming with me today," I said with a smile.
"Thank you for bringing me." She smiled and I felt my heart melt.
She turned to face me with her legs crossed.
"Yes, Roonie?"
"Nothing, I'm just admiring you while eating my ice cream." I laughed and wrapped my arm around her bringing her closer.
"Roonie?"
"Yes?"
"Would it be wrong if I told you I love you, even though we just started dating?" I asked as she lied on my chest.
"I don't think so. Because we were telling each other I love you before we ever started dating. So, as long as you still mean those three words." She shrugged.
"Well, I do."
"Well, then it's not wrong."
"Good." I kissed the top of her head. "I love you, Veronica Kay."
"I love you too, Grayson Bailey."
...
"You wanna come in?" Roonie asked as we pulled up to her house.
"What time is it?"
"Like... 11," she said softly.
"Would Kian be cool with it?" I asked.
"There's no reason he shouldn't be."
I smiled. "Okay."
We both got out of the car and made it way to the front door. I watched as she reached into her bag and grabbed her house keys. She quickly unlocked the front door.
"Come in," she said grabbing my hand and guiding me into the house.
The house was dark meaning the Kian was probably asleep. She held my hand as we walked up the stairs and into her room. She set her bag down.
I sat down on her bed.
"Did you finish your homework?" I asked.
"Yup," she said with a smile.
I watched as she sat in front of her mirror and removed the little makeup she had on. Even without makeup she was absolutely gorgeous.
"Hi, Grayson..." she giggled when she saw me staring at her through the mirror.
I watched as she wiped her lip gloss off of her full pink lips.
She got up and I watched her tie her hair into a messy bun.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"I'm getting ready for bed." She smiled and looked through her closet. "Close your eyes, Dolan."
"I can't watch?" I whined sarcastically.
"Boy, shut up," she said with a laugh.
I quickly closed my eyes.
"Okay, you can look now..." she said after a few minutes.
She wore a large white T-shirt that hung near her mid thighs and no pants.
