samhainophobia: the fear of halloween
Roonie's POV:We pulled up to the address that Lakota sent me. There were college kids everywhere, surrounding the giant frat house.
"You sure you don't wanna go home and change?" Grayson asked looking at me before scanning the crowd.
"I can't," I said with a sigh. "But I wish I could."
He smiled a sorry smile before giving my hand a squeeze. We parked on the side of the road.
He hopped out of the car and opened the door for me. I smiled as he held out his hand. I held onto his hand and we walked toward the entrance together.
"No drinking," I said.
"I don't drink," he said with an eye roll.
"Good." I smiled. "But just promise me you won't. I suck at driving and I really don't wanna risk driving us home."
"I promise, Roonie." He smiled and held his pinky out. I locked pinkies with him and he kissed my knuckles. The door was wide open and music spilled out of every window of the house. College kids were screaming song lyrics and holding up red solo cups. Most of the girls were half-naked, while the guys wore their sports uniforms, but both called them costumes as if they didn't look like that every day.
"This is massive," I yelled over the music.
"I know! I've never been to a party like this before!"
"You're kidding, right?!"
"Nope! My life is just as boring as yours!"
"Shut up!" I laughed. He held my hand tighter and pulled me closer. "My team is in the back, let's go!"
I pushed my way through everyone and held his hand tightly so that we didn't accidentally get separated. We walked all the way to the back where the pool was. A few guys were playing football and others were doing flips into the pool.
"Roonie! Over here!" I looked to see Tia waving me over. I took a turn and we walked over. The volleyball team sat there. Most of them with their boyfriends.
Most of the team was wearing the costumes they were a given. A few of the girls didn't even bother to show up.
"You wore it!" I said with a smile seeing Taylor wearing the cute sailor costume I got her.
"Yeah, I love it!" She smiled.
"Roonie, you look fucking hot!" Bri said.
"I hate you for making me wear this," I said with a laugh. "Oh, guys... meet Grayson!"
They never formally met Grayson. They just knew who he was and would say hi whenever he'd pick me up. They all greeted Grayson. Including their boyfriends greeted him.
"It's nice to meet you guys!" Grayson said with a smile. He wore a werewolf costume. His clothes all ripped up and he had fake gashes of blood on his chest. He even had his makeup done.
"You guys look so cute!" Tia complimented.
"Thank you," I said with a smile. I scoot closer to Grayson who wrapped an arm around me.
"So... since we have everyone here, I think we should start," Abby said raising an eyebrow and looking around.
"Start what?"
"Truth or Dare. Volleyball girls edition."
Grayson and I took a seat on the love seat.
"I'm cold," I said rubbing my arms. Grayson wrapped his arm around me tightly to help keep me warm since he didn't bring a jack either.
