Chapter 18

By the time I got down there, the knights were nothing more than melted puddles of gold.

Akeno changed back into her human form, her tail swaying behind her. The werewolf however did not.

"So... You gonna stay a wolf?" I asked.

"I can't change back. If I do, I'll be naked." The werewolf answered.

"Well who are you?" Akeno asked.

"I am Luna. I came on behalf of Rose." The werewolf said.

"The Luna?!" I yelped before bowing respectively.

Luna laughed. "No need to bow Weaver of Fate. You are just as important as we are."

"Or so you say." I smirked a bit.

A small headache sparked and I saw a little girl with brown hair and the same green eyes the werewolf did, skipping between the werewolf's legs as it stood leaned over with its knuckles on the ground.

Was that her daughter?

"Do you have a daughter?" I asked.

"Me? No." Luna shook her head. "Purebreds are forbidden to breed."

"I see." I nodded a bit.

Was she going to have a daughter?

"But if I did, I would name her Alison." She smiled. "I must return back to Rose and tell her what happened. Good luck." The werewolf bowed before running off.

I ran over to Minerva with Akeno following. Minerva was exactly where I left her, still leaned against a building in an alley. She smiled weakly at us as we came over. The wound on her chest was fully healed, but she looked tired.

Akeno and I both pulled one of her arms over our shoulders and helped carry her back to the orphanage. We set her on a bed inside and the staff members rushed to help her. I sat on a bed beside her's and Akeno sat beside me. We watched the staff rush to take care of their mistress even though she was asking them to relax.

I decided to keep my gear on. Minerva was going to get the city back on its feet before appointing a new leader, and in less than an hour she was back on her feet, and heading back to the castle.

Akeno and I went to visit her before returning back to my cabin in the woods. She sat on the throne looking annoyed with the wealthy shop keepers, begging her to not change anything.

"Life is easy for you! But for the others it is hell. Your prices will drop to extremely low until the city's economy is back on track. You will hire more workers, but pay them the same. When you pay them more, then you can raise your prices." Minerva ordered.

They knew they could not argue, so instead they nodded and left. The guards who weren't killed now stood at her side as her own. They looked almost afraid of her. They knew she could read their minds, so she would know if they planned to betray her.

"So I see you're enjoying you're new role." I laughed.

"I hate rich snobs." Minerva sighed.

A young boy came jogging out. "Mother! Mother are you-... Who are they?" The boy asked.

"Mother?" Akeno questioned.

The boy walked over to the throne and Minerva took the boy's hand. "Vincent, this is Mikayla and Akeno. They are very good friends of mine." Minerva told him. "Akeno, Mikky, this is my son, Vincent."

Vincent looked almost identical to James, except he had bronze eyes.

"I'm glad you're reunited." I offered.
