I hopped across the houses, leaping through windows and over railings. This town was nothing new to me, it was essentially the same as any other. The houses were close together so more houses could be built to add more people around the marketplace to maximize profits since more people will be closer to it.
I gripped a flag hanging over a street and used it to swig across. I rolled across the roof before coming to a stop. I looked up finding the castle wall towering over my head.
Any ideas? Came Minerva's voice in my head.
I glanced up at one of the barred windows before smirking and walking back over to the flag before pulling on the rope holding it up. I pulled the flag over and left it on the ground, grabbing the rope and tying it around one of my arrows before not notching it to the bow and firing it just above the window.
My accuracy was perfect and the arrow stabbed into the stone with ease. This left the rope hanging down the wall. I lept off the roof, and grabbed hold of the rope, climbing up to the windowsill before gripping the bars tightly.
I was no vampire, I wasn't going to break these bars with my hands. I slid down the rope to the end before running along the wall. I pushed off and just managed to catch the top of the wall. I pulled myself up and snuck past two guards who were looking down at the city.
I made my way through the barracks past sleeping guards, and into the castle itself. I heard talking from ahead of me and I ducked behind one of the statues that lined the hallways.
".... Minerva constantly asks to speak with the King but he refuses." Said one of the two guards who were patrolling the halls. "If it was Zia he would have no choice, but its just one of her daughters."
"Just one of her daughters? That girl is a Pureblood Vampire. The King is crazy not to go meet with her. If she tells her mother about the King, Zia and all her kids will come running to tear this village to the ground." Said the other.
"If that was the case then why aren't we dead yet?"
"Because Minerva is going to get even with the King."
Their conversation faded as they made their way down the hallway, completely missing me. I went on ahead, my ears standing up tall, listening for anyone else coming my way.
A quick vision crossed my eyes, showing the king walking into the room ahead of me. After quickly picking the lock then making my way in, I found this to be a bedroom. I locked the door behind me and looked around the room.
The King was sound asleep on the master bed, his drawers were all opened, clothes lay messily on the ground like the man had no care for who saw. I walked over to the bed and pulled open the drawer on his nightstand, grabbing a necklace with a picture in it before stuffing it in the satchel I had brought to carry the things I was stealing, and I left behind a blue paper star just as Minerva asked.
I grabbed a few more things that had a decent value before leaving my own personal note on the nightstand.
Leave your Fox Demon alone. The Gods will not allow you to continue to torment someone who has done no wrongs. If you take the fox again, or try to cause harm to it, you will be killed.

The Master Thief
I then moved over to the window and pushed it opened. I looked down finding a small sent set up. I lept from the window and landed on the tent which turned out to just be a fabric canopy hanging over something.
I didn't have time to look around though because it proved rather bouncy, and I was shot up into the air. I landed on the walkway over the main gate before running back to the rope I had set up previously. I gripped it and swung myself around the wall, landing on the back of a horse causing it to panic and run forward.
I gripped its mane and pulled back, stopping it just before it ran over a few children who were playing in the dark. I stepped off the horse and ran to the orphanage, climbing in the second floor window with a smile on my face as I pulled my mask down. I went downstairs, handing Minerva the sack of things I took before storing my gear in the armory.
"Are you hurt?" Akeno asked.
"Not even a scratch. I didn't get caught." I answered with a smile. "Thanks to your lucky pendant, the plan wen off without a hitch."
"That's great!" Minerva smiled. "You've earned your rest."
"I'm happy to do my part." I smiled before heading upstairs to go lie down.
