It was nightfall when Akeno and I arrived in Yeager. But even though the sun was down, the town was lit up.

The citizens were out loading wagons filled with supplies, and some of them had florescent red eyes, but they smiled and laughed along with the humans. They were all working together to keep the city moving.

The buildings were different here than in Augerheim. While there the buildings were made from wood and stone, here they were made from wood and brick. Wood, being the roof, and brick being the walls. But I heard the inside was wood to hold in the heat better in the winter.

People waved at us with smiles, and cat calls, and that was how I noticed that Akeno had once again altered my appearance. Was she worried these people would see me and panic? Or having them know that I was the Master Thief?

"We're looking for the general store." I told her.

She looked around before pointing. I steered Star in that direction, and we dismounted her. I tied her up and went into the shop. I walked up to the counter and smiled at Hoff, the old man who had shared one of my trips home.

"Hoff?" I asked.

He looked up and stared at me blankly for a moment before a smile crossed his lips. "Well I'll be. Mikky?" He questioned.

"That's my name." I smiled and nodded.

He glanced at the other customers browsing before leaning forward, grinning ear to ear. "No wonder you're the Master Thief, no one would have a clue at first glance."

"I have a little help." I motioned to Akeno who bowed her head respectively.

"This must be the Fire Fox." He smiled, examining her. "You're beautiful if I do say so myself."

Akeno blushed a bit. "Thank you."

"What brings you to Yeager?" Hoff asked.

"We're here for Merlin's Tree." I answered.

He blinked. "I didn't take you for one of those mage types."

"I'm not." I leaned back and held my hands up in surrender. "I'm not a Thief anymore friend. My job is to help people."

"What does helping people have to do with Merlin's Tree?"

I rested my hands on the counter again. "What do you know about Merlin's family?"

"I heard they all turn into trees depending on how much magic they use. But I also hear that they're the most powerful Wizards and Mages in the universe."

"Well, in a vision, Elysium showed me one of Merlin's descendents. She mentioned a girl named Sarah before she was turned into a tree."

"Sarah huh?" Hoff put his hand to his chin, deep in thought. "Navarra?"

"I don't know the last name."

"Well the only Sarah that's ever been here is a Navarra. She's a quiet type, but she can definately cast spells. Wouldn't pick her for a descendent of Merlin though." He shrugged.

"Where can I find her?" I asked.

"Um." He leaned back a bit so he could look at one of the other customers. "Jack! Have you seen Sarah around town?"

"Check the Library." Jack answered.

Hoff shrugged at me.

"Where's the Library?"

"Left from here, down the road. On your right. Big hanging sign, can't miss it."

"If we end up staying here a few days, would you mind letting us stay here?" I questioned.
