Chapter Twenty-Four

Percy Jackson

I woke up in a soft cot in the infirmary in the Big House. I was trying to think how I got here, because I'm pretty sure that - from what I remember - I was at a castle called Hogwarts for training wizards that was miles away from Camp Half-Blood.

My whole body felt achey.

I looked down at myself to see that I was shirtless, and my stomach was cover in white bandages. I wonder why.

Oh yeah. Now I remember.

I groaned loudly, and my legs felt stiff, like I haven't used them in a long time.

I saw Will come into the infirmary.

"Will," I called, my voice a little hoarse.

He turned to me, a shocked expression on his face. He walked over to my cot.

"Percy?" Will asked, as if he couldn't believe that I was awake. "How do you feel?"

"Um, my side hurts a little." I said. "How long was I out?"

Will sighed. "This might be a bit of a shock, but Percy, you were unconscious for three months." He said carefully. "You had taken a bad hit to your head during the battle. You had a pretty bad head injury, and the blood loss didn't help either." Will paused. "I'll be right back."

Will got up and left, leaving me by myself. I sit up in my bed.

An Apollo camper come to me and checks on me. He removed my bandages and I saw my wound. It was still not healed. And I would definitely have a scar after.

The the Apollo camper was done changing my bandages he handed my a small glass filled with nectar.

Then he went off to another injured camper.

Soon after that Will came back with all my friends.

"Percy!" Annabeth gasped.

She ran right up to me and took my face in her hands and kissed me. We didn't care who was watching, but we stopped before it got too awkward.

The smile on my girlfriend's face quickly faded and turned into a glare. Then she punched me in the arm.

"Ow!"

"Percy, you seaweed brain, if you ever have a close call like that again, I will kill you." Annabeth said angrily.

"Love you too." I said. "What happened to Vossen?"

"Oh, she's at some wizard prison now. What's it called? As-" Leo said.

"Azkaban." Frank said.

"Yeah, that."

"Anyway, don't worry about it." Jason said.

"Thanks guys." I said.

"Percy, you should go see your family." Hazel said. "They're probably worried about you."

"Yeah you're right." I said. "But first I want to spend time with this family."
