*Warning Spoilers for Supernatural season 14*

When Cas had knocked on Stiles' door to tell him that they got Michael, Stiles had been elated. He knew it wasn't his dad, but they had Michael and that was the key to getting his dad back. However, when he walked into the bunker's main room to see his dad tied to a chair all hope faded when the eyes that met his were cold and empty.

Was his dad even in there anymore?

Cas put a comforting hand on Stiles' shoulder.

Stiles had always been stoic in times of stress. He didn't like to show when he was scared. He got that from Dean, but Cas knew Stiles and he felt just as worried as the teenager.

"Dad?" Stiles asked taking a step forward.

"Sorry, kid, daddy's not home," Michael smiled.

"Dad, please," Tears welled in Stiles' eyes. It had been weeks since he'd even seen his dad. He missed him so much, it hurt.

Michael rolled his eyes but didn't respond.

Stiles turned to look at Sam, "Can he even hear me, Uncle Sammy?"

Sam gave a sympathetic smile and a half shrug. Sam doubted it, but he couldn't be sure. He remembered what it was like to be possessed by Lucifer and Gadreel, with Lucifer he was very much aware and could hear Dean trying to reach out, but with Gadreel it was different.

"I'm not gonna stop trying," Stiles took another step forward.

"Try all you want. He can't hear you," Michael smirked.

"Dad, please, please, you have to fight, I know you want to," Stiles was fighting back tears.

"Dad?" Stiles looked to Cas, "Maybe he'll hear you."

Cas stepped forward, so he was next to Stiles. He had a feeling Dean wouldn't hear him anymore than he would Stiles, but he couldn't bare the look on his son's face.

"Dean, if you can hear us, please, fight this. You've overcome so much other stuff in the past, I know you can win this too."

"You're all so pathetic. Striving for a broken man. You're better off without him. That's what I told him to get him to shut up. He was like a gnat in my head, constantly buzzing. I had to push him down. So, I showed him how happy you all were without him. It wasn't real obviously, but he doesn't know that. It's been blissful silence ever since," Michael sneered at Stiles.

"You just wait. The second we get my dad out of you, and we will, I'm gonna drive an angel blade through your eyes." Stiles spoke between grit teeth.

"Oh, is that so?" Michael growled, lunging forward. The enochian binding fell from Michael as he grabbed Stiles' throat.

"You are nothing. I could squash you like a bug. You're the vermin of this world. I will win. You think you caught me, I am exactly where I want to be. And now that I have your attention, I think I'll let dear daddy watch me kill you with his own hands." Michael had Stiles off the ground.

Stiles wriggled in the archangel's grasp as he fought for air.

Cas and Sam both jumped to stop Michael, but he threw them back with a wave of his other hand.

"Dad, please, don't let him do this, I need you, we all need you, please," Stiles croaked around gasps of air.

Suddenly Michael's grip faltered and Stiles dropped to the ground, heaving in large gasps of air.

"Stiles," Suddenly Michael was knelt by the hunter with a look that Stiles knew well.

"Dad," Stiles felt the tears welling up again.

"It's me, bud, I've got him, for a minute," Dean nodded reaching out to his son.

Stiles threw himself into Dean's arm's, "I knew you were in there," Stiles cried. The tears rolled down his cheeks in relief.

"I don't know how long I can keep him down," Dean spoke worriedly as he gripped Stiles tightly.

"You only have to long enough to expel him with this," Sam held out a sheet of paper for Dean to read from.

Dean didn't release Stiles as he read the spell.

A blinding light shot from Dean, causing Stiles to pull back.

When the light faded, Dean was in a heap on the ground.

"Dad," Stiles surged forward.

Dean shot up with a gasp then.

"Dad?" Stiles heard the worry in his own tone.

"Stiles," Dean pulled Stiles into him.

"It worked," Sam smiled.

"You did it," Stiles cried as he gripped his father for dear life.

"Are you alright?" Dean asked worriedly.

"I am now," Stiles nodded.

"I heard you and it felt wrong where I was, and then I felt like I was waking up and I saw you and..." Dean trailed off before pulling Stiles into another hug.

"I knew you were in there, I knew I could get through to you."

Stiles helped Dean to his feet where he was immediately pulled into a hug by his brother.

"That gives us time to trap him, I should call Rowena. Good to have you back," Sam wiped a stray tear as he pulled back.

"Hey, no chick flick moments," Dean winked ruffling Sam's hair.

Dean turned then to see Cas standing next to Stiles a look of hope on his face.

"Heya, Cas" Dean gave small smile.

Cas pulled Dean into him, connecting their lips.

"Hello, Dean."
