"Mom?" I asked her and she just smiled at me.

"Hi hunny." She smiled down at me.

"Wh-what?" I asked confused. Last time I checked, she was dead...What was happening?
"Ho-how are you here right now?" I asked her and stepped back as she stepped closer towards me.

"I've been looking for you." Her smile faded when I stepped away from her.
"It's me, I'm your mother."

"My mother died. How are you here? Who are you?" I held the gun up to her and she placed her hands up.

"Please, I'm your mother y/n."

"My mother died. You're just a scarily accurate look alike of her. Who do you work for?" A frown appeared on my face as I tried to hold back the tears that were threatening to escape from my eyes.

"Your mother didn't die y/n."

"Yes she did. I saw her in the hospital. I saw the flat line. I saw what the cancer did to her." I yelled at her and she tried to step closer to me again. I stepped back once more and I was almost close to the window. My hands were beginning to shake now as if I was going into shock.

The woman that was stood in front of me sighed and pulled out a small container from her pocket, throwing it at me.

"What is this?" I asked her, confused.

"It's a tub. You spit in it." She told me, grabbing her keys.

"Is this some twisted game to you? You're not my mother." I tried to throw the container back at her but she grabbed my wrist before I could.

"Just spit in the damn cup and we'll find out won't we." She spoke straight to my face and released my wrist. I gulped down and opened the lid of the container, spitting into it and closing it back up again.

"Good girl." She told me. She headed towards the non-existing door and checked outside.
"The coast is clear kids." She yelled towards us and hesitantly, Finn and I both ambled towards her. We reached her car and both took the seats in the back.

"You know you didn't have to bring the guns." She told us, looking in the interior mirror whist she started driving.

"Yes we do. One wrong move and I will shoot. You got it?" Finn held his huge ass gun up to her head and his gulped down before sighing.

"If you shoot the driver, you'll both have a chance at dying in a crash." She confidently spoke and Finn and I glanced across at each other. I held my gun up to her head also.

"I'm willing to take my chance on that for someone pretending to be someone she's not." I growled and all she did was laugh.

"Ok kids. We're going to the hospital not the asylum. Calm down." She laughed and we lowered our guns. The asylum?

"No one mentioned anything about the asylum...what are you talking about?" Finn did the talking and the woman that looked like my sister just stayed silent.
"You, start talking..." he growled this time and she glanced in her interior mirror again.

"Put the gun down. There's someone following us." She told us and we both looked through the back mirror straight after. The same black Chevrolet that came to Finn's house was now following us.

"Oh shit." Me and Finn screamed in unison and ducked down in our seats just as a bullet broke the back window of this woman's blue jeep. The tyres screeched as she turned the steering out of shock from the shot, losing control of the entire vehicle.
She gins the control back again and revs the engine up faster, changing the gears.

"Hold on kids." She warned us as she hit the grass quick and sped off. Finn and I both held onto the seats and looked back out of the window again to see the Chevrolet falling behind. The woman sped around a corner and we ended up going down some lanes that led into a forest area. There was a path for cars which we followed down but it was extremely bumpy and uncomfortable.

Finn grabbed my hand to stop me from having a panic attack. We took a lot of twists and turns  until we lost the Chevrolet and eventually the woman skidded the car and we came to a halt.

I caught my breath, trying to comprehend what had just happened.

"Where are we?" Finn asked her and she took off her seatbelt, leaning back and facing us.

"I'm y/n's mom and you're both in danger. Why did you come back to the house? He knows you're still alive now." She frantically told us and we both looked even more confused as ever.

"So you know him?" I quickly asked her and she sighed.

"Wait-wait. Danger? Why would he want us dead I've never seen him before..." Finn cut in and started asking her a bunch of questions. I knew we weren't going to get a clear answer to it.

"There's no time to answer all of your questions now." She opened the door on her side of the car and hopped out. I told you.

Finn and I hesitantly got out. Still holding our guns close to us. We scanned our surroundings but all we could see were trees and the river bank that led to the ocean.

"We need to walk this way." The woman told us before opening the trunk of her car.

"Why would we follow you?"

"Because I'm about to save your life." She clicked in her gun and turned back to us. She closed the trunk and started moving, expecting us to follow.

"So what's the deal? Why do you look so much like my mom?" I asked her, still not believing that she is my real birth mother. I watched my own mother die in a hospital, struggling from cancer...

"I'm your mother I told you." Was all she would ever repeat to me. I don't get why she can't give me a clear answer to the question.

"My mother died. Can you stop fucking with me and tell me the truth?" I got a little aggressive and she held the gun up to me. Finn quickly shot up and aimed his gun up to her.

"Put. The. Gun. Down." He spoke in a deep and raspy voice. Saying each word slowly for emphasis...gawd why does he have to be so hot...shit...stop it y/n.

She stared across at Finn and rolled her eyes.

"Listen kid, I got pregnant with you and I didn't want you. The woman you thought was your mother was really your adoptive mother. You want the paperwork to prove it? I'll also get my scientist to run tests on both of our spit containers. Will that be enough evidence for you?" She aggressively spoke and then sighed straight after.

"Fine." I rolled my eyes.
"But I'm not believing you until those tests come back." I rolled my eyes and held up my gun to my side, strolling passed her.

"Why does her mother look so much like you?" Finn quickly jumped in on the question asking. I tried to storm ahead as I didn't want to listen to this crazy woman.

"She was my twin sister. Y/m/n and I were split up when we were teenagers due to foster homes. I haven't seen her since." She shrugged.
"I came back when I heard what happened to her...."

"Yeah, well you're a couple years too late." I growled from the front bitterly. I didn't trust this woman one bit and if she was really her twin sister, she would have come back sooner...if I'm really her daughter she would have come back sooner to save me form Adam and all of this shit that happened weeks ago...

"You know y/m/n got pregnant when she was in college. She had to give him up...he was psycho or something." She shrugged.

"Do you know where he is?" I turned back and asked her with a soft voice this time. We all stopped walking and just stared at each other.

"So now you want to listen to me?" She growled and scoffed, pushing passed me as if she was a teenage bully...

Authors note: I hope you enjoyed this. This wasn't initially how I wanted this path of the story to go but I think this is a better idea than what my original one was. I have so many plot twist ideas for this that they keep changing so updates in later chapters might be a bit slow.
