I checked my phone again since I had been waiting for a while now. It was passed midnight and really cold...
The parking lot was completely empty, there was no one in sight and no car in sight.
Private number: meet me tonight in the old parking lot if you want answers.
I checked the message again to make sure that I was in the correct place. I seemed to be.
My delicate fingers tapped on the side of my phone as I waited further. I didn't know who this mysterious person was so I was extremely nervous to be waiting on my own for them. Neither Finn nor Jack knew where I was...
I twisted my body round as I heard a sound. As quick as a flash I pulled the pistol out from my jacket and pointed it straight at the person approaching me from behind. It was out of instinct and out of nerves. They too pulled a pistol out and we were both stood a few feet away, pointing them at each other.
"Are you the private number that asked me to meet you here?" I spoke with confidence, trying to hide the flutter of anxiety building up inside me.
"Yes." They spoke. I couldn't make out their voice because they had a black mask covering their face, causing their voice to become muffled.
"Prove it." I demanded to make sure. I didn't trust anyone anymore. I don't think I even trusted Finn anymore either...
Just then my phone buzzed in my jacket pocket and I pulled it out to reveal a text from the same private number that asked me to meet them here
Trust me, idiot. It's the only way...
I placed my phone back in my pocket but kept my gun up.
"How can I trust you if I don't even know what you look like?" I asked them and heard a sigh form their end.
"Just trust me." Their voice sounded deep, as if they were a male. They also sounded frustrated.
"You sound frustrated." I pointed out the obvious.
"Because you won't trust me." They pulled their gun down in frustration and placed their hands in their hips.
"Because I don't know who you are or why you wanted to meet me down here by myself or why you're dressed in all black with a mask like a criminal. Are you a criminal?"
"That's a dumb question."
"So you are?" I held my hand on the gun tighter.
"I'm not here to hurt you." They placed their hands up and I narrowed my eyes at them in suspicion.
"So take off your mask." I demanded again. They looked all around and sighed before looking my way again. They placed their hands up to their mask but then stopped.
"If you put the gun down, I'll take my mask off." They compromised and I was intrigued...
"How do I know you aren't going to pull a trick on me as soon as I put my gun down?" I raised an eyebrow and they sighed again, placing their hands back on their hips.
"Look, do you want to know this important information or not?" They sounded frustrated again and so rolled my eyes. We weren't getting anywhere and I had a secret weapon hidden in the top of my boot anyway if something terrible were to happen...
I stood up from my stance and placed my hands up before placing the gun back in my jacket. The other individual placed their hands over their mask again but we heard another sound...
I pulled my gun back out and held it up in the direction of the sound... The masked person pulled out their gun too but grabbed my arm as soon as they saw who it was...
"Come on." They dragged me behind them until we were positioned behind the wall to a car entrance of the parking lot. They seemed scared so I obeyed them.
Once we were positioned in a safe place we saw car headlights illuminating a man dressed in a suit as he waited there. His hands were positioned on his hips, what's up with everyone placing their hands on their hips today?
"Who is that?" I whispered to the person in the mask next to me but he shushed me, placing his finger over his lips, staring out at the scene in front of us.
The grown man dressed in a suit started talking into a bluetooth headset but we couldn't hear anything he was saying.
A few moments later we saw a smaller figure emerge into the headlights. He was speaking to the man dressed in a suit before handing him a bag of something. In return the man in the suit passed him a large sum of cash which the small figure shoved straight into his pocket before looking around. I didn't get a clear view of his face but he had curly dark hair, similar to Jack's or it could be similar to Finn's... I couldn't tell from the dim lights and the headlights.
They rushed away and the man dressed in a suit shoved the bag in his pocket before entering the vehicle and spinning it around to the exit the opposite side of the lot where they came in.
Once we were sure that they were gone, I let out a sigh I didn't know I was holding in and so did the masked person next to me.
"Who was that?" I asked them since they seemed scared.
"Someone you don't want to know." They spoke, moving away from me.
"Are they dangerous?"
"Dangerous is an understatement." They turned to me and nodded down to my gun. I placed it back in my pocket like we agreed before we were interrupted.
"And who was the other kid?"
"I don't know. But he has contact with that man and anyone who has contact with that man is considered dangerous too."
"And how do you know that man?" I asked and they stayed quiet. They still hadn't removed their mask from their head so I still had no clue who they were or why they wanted to meet me.
"Okay... So, are you going to reveal who you are now?" I was getting a little impatient and they pulled the mask from their head, their hair fell in a mess over their eyes but I instantly knew who it was...
