They hurt. Badly. So bad. Everything hurts. It's like my mouth is on a period (with a lack of blood, that is). The pain won't ever go away. Overwhelming pain. Never-ending pain.
Unfortunately, the guy I like also has braces. I guess I'm not gonna be trying to kiss him any time soon, I've heard way too many horror stories about people getting stuck... although it wouldn't be so bad, a prolonged kiss with him. ;)
Anyways, the pain. So much pain. I can't even get the colored bands yet, I'm stuck with plain silver until they get my teeth straightened out. Once they start on the overbite, then I'll get the colors. They were actually the one thing I'd been looking forward to, but nope, Dr. Hohl be all like "LOL chu don't get no pretties just yet, I gots ta make chu miserable first!" Okay, Dr. Hohl is actually pretty nice, but I just don't like the treatment option she chose.
I'm actually pretty fortunate, as long as I brush good and keep on the side bands when I get them I'll be in and out in a little over a year. Mom had to have her braces for 7 freaking years, poor soul :/
Chewing anything is impossible. It was all I could do to get down a piece of bread earlier! I shall live on applesauce and pudding for the next few days. And let's not even get started on trying to play my clarinet! I feel so bad for Yogswimmer77, poor Cailey plays the trumpet. Trumpets and braces do not work well. Neither do clarinets and braces.
