Crushes and curses

That day Amy didn't turn up at school. Mark and Jack knew where she was, but couldn't explain to anyone else. Mark had fist fights with Mr Brown for first class, but Jack had close combat with ghastly Miss Finnegan. Mark arrived late to class as General Nelson stopped him in the corridor and reminded him of the consequences that would occur if he spoke of the Keelen curse. Once in class, Mark looked around for a seat. "Mr Edward, there is a seat next to Mr Kjellberg," Mr Brown added noticing Mark's confusion. Mark sighed and sat next to Felix, who gave an arrogant smile. "Mr Kjellberg I suggest that smile disappears from your face or a detention slip will appear in your pocket," Mr Brown said noticing Felix's cheeky grin, as the class laughed and giggled. Mark didn't really pay attention for the rest of class, he just stared out the window worrying about Amy. After class finished he met up with Jack using their 5-minute lesson break to talk. "Why you so worried about her? She told us where she is," Jack asked. "I think- I think I like her," Mark said. Jack pulled him into a lonely corridor. "But what about the curse?" Jack asked. "Well, if she likes me, I guess I'll take the curse," Mark replied. "Come on NOW, we are ditching this dump and going to see Amy, she needs to know about this," Jack grabbed Mark and dragged him to the tree. "You go see her bud, I'll keep watch," Jack said. Mark climbed up the tree and down the ladder which leads to there hideout. "I've been expecting you guys," Amy said. "How did you know we would ditch?" Mark asked. "My romance ego could sense you were coming," Amy replied. "What do you mean?" Mark asked. "I like you, kinda," Amy said nervously. " Well, that's why I came here, to see you, and tell you I like you too, Jack's guarding outside," Mark laughed nervously. Amy stood up and gave Mark a hug, before the room was engulfed with black smoke, leaving Mark on the ground. "Deja vu," Mark mumbled. Amy sat on the bed wearing a red dress with black hair and red make-up. "Good afternoon romance ego," Mark said. Amy's ego pulled mark into a hug once more, before the room was engulfed with smoke for the second time. Mark lay on the ground pulling at his black hair, his pupils flickering red to brown. "JACK!" Amy cried. Moments later Jack bolted down the ladder joining Amy knelt at Mark's side. "He looks like I do when my romance ego comes out," Amy said. "How is this happening? I thought you could only pass the curse through true love after 18!" Jack screeched. Amy's appearance changed from sweet to devilish within seconds. Her blonde hair was black, and she wore dark clothes and make-up. "I still have my egos, Jack!" She shouted in a demonic voice before turning all blue. She passed out beside Mark still in the form of her sadness ego. "I wonder how the general is gonna explain this one," Jack muttered before pulling out his phone to ring the general.
