Confusing but explained events

"That nurse sure is taking a while!" Jack said energetically. "Why you so happy?" Signe asked pretentiously. "Have you been living under a rock for the past few minutes? These two just danced to no music! And mark has FREAKING ALTER-EGOS!" Jack screamed making Signe giggle and Mark roll his eyes. "Good afternoon children, I'm Lacey and I will be your personal nurse as you seem to have a reputation of visiting the hospital often," said a woman dressed in a white dress with bright pink hair. "Can you explain why Mark has alter-egos, I thought I could only pass it on through true love after 18, not a hug at 14!" Amy bellowed. "Well, in my 7598 years of being a nurse, I have never seen the Keelen or Kjellberg curse act this way, If you don't mind, I will need a sample of your thoughts to show me exactly what happened," Lacey replied. "How can you sample someone's thoughts?" Mark asked. "Oh, it's a simple form of thought projecting, I just need you to replay the hug in your mind, and I will read your mind," Lacey said acting as though this was normal. Amy and Mark both thought of the hug and replayed the scene in there head until Lacey had enough evidence. "Ah, Amy, your romance ego took over, and due to this, too much love was held in your ego, so it projected onto Mark, and split the curse between the two of you, and possibly this young chap over here, as he was near the scene," Lacey smiled pointing to Jack. "Woah, don't say I've just been dragged into this, I'm just a coffee addict!" Jack whined making everyone erupt into laughter. "Mr Mcglouhlin, if you will kindly come with me so we can run a few tests to check if the curse has affected you, oh, Miss Hansen, I may need your help as well," Nurse Lacey said pulling Signe from her daydream. "We will be back in two shakes of a phoenix's tale, stay here kids," Lacey said to Amy and Mark before leaving the room with Jack and Signe. Mark and Amy sat in nervous silence before finally breaking the thick tension building in the room. "Mark, I'm so sorry, I never meant to pass the curse onto you, and possibly Jack," Amy cried as salty tears began building in her eyes. "Honestly, if I can act silly and have an excuse, I won't mind these egos," Mark laughed. "Why would Signe need to go with Jack?" Amy asked. "I don't know, It seems strange," Mark said bluntly. "We are worse of than before, we are stuck in a building with the whole Kjellberg family that could kill us at any moment," Amy rambled. "Do you really think I would let 'THE ALMIGHTY QUEEN AMY NELSON' be murdered by a band of blonde snobs?" Mark said in a posh accent making Amy roll around laughing once more. "No, the great and oh so powerful Mark would definitely be able to save me from a family of vicious bloodthirsty ego-bound blondes!" Amy said in an attempt of a posh accent that sounded Australian. They joked and laughed until Lacey finally returned with Signe and Jack. "He's all clear of egos, however, he gained the power of teleportation, due to the leftover love that latched onto Mark," Lacey explained. "Now come on children, let's get shopping for some new attire, shall we? After you four can return to your room and do whatever you please," Lacey said shooing the four through the hospital doors. "SHOPPING TIME, WOOHOO!" Jack yelled running toward the large array of shops just minutes away from the hospital. "One of these days, he's gonna have so much caffeine, he'll fly away," Nurse Lacey chuckled leading the group into the first shop.
