It had all changed so quickly. Camila couldn't even remember when it had all gone to hell, but she knew there was no going back now. She had lost everything, her friends, her fans, her dream career, and the love of her life in a matter of minutes. One decision changed her life forever, and not a single day went by without her regretting her choices painfully.
After Fifth Harmony broke up just a couple of months after their first album dropped, Camila had the chance to go solo and took it without really thinking about the consequences. The group had broken up because of her choices anyway, she couldn't just forget about the solo career she had been working so hard for even if that wasn't necessarily what she wanted. It really wasn't, but more than one person influenced her to pursue a different direction, and after the huge fight Camila had with the rest of the girls, she had no other choice than to leave the most successful girl band of the last couple of years.
Shortly after her career as a soloist took off, Camila started to hate performing with her dear life. She hated to tour alone, she hated her new sound and she especially hated her new fan base. The Harmonizers took Ally, Normani, Dinah and Lauren's side after their fight, leaving Camila with no one supporting her other than a few Mahomies. Austin had been one of the reasons the girls started fighting in the first place, and things inevitably started to fall apart during their tour together, but he wasn't fully responsible. A certain green eyed girl on the other hand didn't even know she was going to end up indirectly dissolving the world's most popular girl band, but she couldn't have stopped it if she wanted to, Camila's feelings were way too strong for anyone to prevent the fatal destiny of Fifth Harmony.
Camila finished one of the last concerts of her tour hating her career more by the second. Singing felt more like punishment lately, but Camila had to keep going even if it made her even more depressed. She was only nineteen, but her life didn't mean anything anymore. Waking up became an almost impossible task, and getting out of bed was even harder. Everything reminded her of Lauren, every single love song made her heart ache even after spending more than a year without speaking to her former bandmate. Talking to her after what had happened was too hard. Camila was profoundly embarrassed of her actions, she hated herself for doing what she had done. But she also hated herself for not fighting hard enough for the stunning brunette.
She walked to her meet and greet table without even faking a subtle smile. Camila was done pretending this life made her happy. She was as miserable as she had ever been, and lying about it would only make her feel worse about herself. Taking a seat in front of the multitude of fans didn't even make her excited anymore, wanting to get over with it as quickly as possible. The first fans started to walk over to the young pop star, who signed a couple of posters with a clearly bored expression in her face. Without even looking at the excited teenagers nervously standing in front of her, Camila went through with the meet and greet almost completely in silence. Meeting fans used to be one of her favorite things in the world, but she didn't feel up to it anymore, she knew she had disappointed thousands of her real fans when she decided to leave the band and that made her feel horribly.
Hiding her feelings just became an impossible task. Camila couldn't keep pretending Lauren's indifference wasn't killing her slowly. She couldn't bare the thought of the young brunette and her boyfriend. Being close to her made her inappropriate feelings grow even stronger, but being away from Lauren broke her heart as well. She just couldn't do it anymore. And deciding to tell her the truth wasn't easy, but Camila knew it was something she needed to do if she wanted to stay alive.
She had been signing posters uninterestedly for almost an hour now. The amount of new fans was truly overwhelming, and the fan base seemed to keep growing more everyday, which actually surprised Camila who hated her songs almost as much as she hated performing them.
