One Month (Camren FanFic)

Day 24

"You need to come to my apartment immediately." Camila exclaimed excitedly.

"I'm in class, I can't speak right now." Lauren whispered as quietly as possible.

"I don't give a flying fuck, you need to get here, right now." Camila repeated loudly.

"Okay, okay, I'll be there as soon as possible." The green eyed girl said and put her phone away before the teacher saw her.

"Who was that?" Luis asked her softly.

"My mom." Lauren lied putting her books in her bag.

"What happened? Where are you going?" He questioned watching her girlfriend intently.

"I need to go, I'll call you later." She said hurriedly and kissed his cheek before leaving the classroom.

She took a cab back to Camila's apartment and as soon as she got there she rushed to the brunette's door.

"Camz? Are you alright?" She knocked several times until the young Latina opened the door.

"Hey, you made it!" Camila exclaimed happily and let her guest come in.

"Yeah, you scared me to death with that phone call. Is everything okay?" Lauren asked her seriously, but her worries went away when she noticed the huge smile on Camila's face.

"I'm fine, but you need to see this." The younger girl said pulling her friend towards her room.

"What's going on?" Lauren asked confused, but the fact that it was nothing serious was a huge relieve. After setting their relationship straight, Lauren wanted to do everything in her power to maintain a healthy friendship with Camila, and so far things were working out.

"Here, read this." Camila instructed her handing Lauren her laptop.

"Fifth Harmony's VMA among the most memorable award show moments of the decade." She read the magazine headline out loud.

"Alright... And the artist, the VMA goes to... Fifth Harmony, Miss Movin' On!" The presenter announced and the X Factor's girl group's first single blasted through the award show's speakers.

No one really thought the girls had a chance against amazingly talented and renounced artists like Sam Smith or with huge fandoms like 5 Seconds of Summer, but once again they had done the impossible. Not even the Harmonizers, who had dedicatedly voted for hours, could believe Fifth Harmony had actually won a VMA. The nervous teenagers received their award, and after a heartfelt acceptance speech, they went back to their seats.

Right after the award show was closed with the most memorable performance by Beyonce, the invited artists got together at the after party. Numerous tables were filled with a huge variety of food and drinks, and an amazing DJ played the hottest songs of the moment.

"Holy shit, did that really happen?" Lauren asked incredulously and stared at her shaking hands.

"I can't believe we actually won." Ally cried excitedly.

"Yeah, this feels like a dream." Dinah commented smiling brightly.

"Mom, look what happened." Normani said mockingly imitating her friend's previous words.

"The nerve..." The Polynesian said rolling her eyes and suddenly noticed Camila hadn't said anything in a while. The brunette's gaze was distant and focused on something beyond their group. "Mila?" She asked moving her hand in front of her friend's face. "Camila?" Dinah repeated after Camila didn't respond.

"Hmm?" She suddenly replied focusing her attention back on the girls.

"Is everything okay?" Lauren, who had also noticed Camila's weird behavior, asked.
