Lauren's POV:
A really loud and consistent knock on my dorm room's door woke me, and consequently Luis, up. It had become a habit to spend the night together, even though it was against campus rules, but I guess being a former star does have its perks.
"Babe stay here, I'm going to see what's going on." Luis said protectively and kissed my lips quickly before grabbing his baseball bat and walking towards the door.
To be more precise with the story, the unexpected knocking didn't really wake me up. I was having trouble sleeping that night, and even though it was 5:00 AM, I had't managed to close my eyes at all. A little voice in my head kept me from having a good night sleep, and I wasn't sure how to turn it off. Maybe the only way to do so was to follow it's orders, but it was a little too late for that.
Luis walked cautiously to the door trying not to make a lot of noise. We had heard about several robberies and assaults around campus lately, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't dead scared. I grabbed the covers of my bed tightly over my body, as if that would help, and nervously watched my fiancé slowly turn the doorknob while he had the bat ready for action in his other hand. But, before he could open the door, and hit the mysterious visitor to death, I heard her voice.
"Lauren! We need to talk!" Camila yelled against the wooden door separating us.
Luis groaned and rolled his eyes annoyed when he realized what was really going on, and threw the bat to the floor before crawling back to bed.
"I'll take care of it." I said throwing the covers to the side of my bed and felt my heart beat even faster now that I knew Camila was waiting for me than when I thought there was a murderer outside my room.
"I can't believe this shit is happening." Luis complained sleepily and shut his eyes closed immediately.
"I'm so sorry." I said rubbing his back softly for a couple of seconds before we heard Camila yelling again.
"Lauren Michelle Jauregui I know you're in there, stop ignoring me." She added making the knocks even louder.
I quickly jumped out of bed and opened the door before the brown eyed girl woke up the rest of NYU. When I finally faced her, my heart skipped a beat. The strong scent of liquor soon became evident, and I understood where her unusual behavior was coming from. Camila's hair fell down one side of her neck in a messy braid, and her high waisted pair of jeans hugged every curve in her body flawlessly.
"You opened the door." Camila said with a face eating grin.
"You're really drunk." I stated matter of factly and closed the door behind me so I didn't interrupt Luis's sleep anymore.
"And you're really beautiful." She said playing with my hair seductively.
"Fuck Camz, what are you doing here? It's 5:00 am." I said softly and grabbed her wrist, stopping her flirty gesture. I could feel my heart beating violently against my chest, and I wasn't really sure how to handle a situation like that, but Camila was making it especially hard.
"We have to talk, and I won't take no for an answer." She tried to state firmly, but the alcohol in her system affected her speech.
"I'm going to take you home." I told Camila holding her hand, and started guiding her to Luis's car, but she stood there reluctantly and let go of my hand.
"No, we're going to talk about this. You always run away from things Lauren, but you won't get away this time." Camila said raising her voice considerably.
"Shh, Camz please." I said covering her mouth. "You're going to wake everyone up and get me in a lot of trouble." I added and removed my hand after she nodded her head.
